iS THE Phins record an abhoration. What do you project the final record

I am not quite certain what an "abhoration" is, but it certainly doesn't sound good. :D
Assuming you meant "abberation," no. I don't think it is an abberation. I think our final record will be around 11-5.

Homer :) Seriously, I see losses against Dallas, Pats, and at Tenn.

Bite your tongue Sherif. We must beat the Cowgirls. My wife is a Dallas fan and I would NEVER hear the end of it. Speaking of which..... does anyone know any snappy comebacks to that stupid Dallas saying that "God is smiling down on the Cowboys through that hole in their dome"..........

I usually just say that there was nobody in Dallas smart enough to figure out how to finish it. But there must be something better than that.

since we're grading grammar, it's "aberration."
;)

i'm thinking 11-5/12-4, but i think the d is good enough to do better. we'll see.

Well come on now...mine was a slight misspelling. His was a totally different word! :D

I do not give a damn about the Colts. Watch we will win. Colts are cooling down already on MNF atlast. Remember what we did to the amazing Raiders offense? Oh yah babe.

ya never know, i think they drop 2 more. so 13-3. either the colts or titans, and then either Redskins or Cowboys....

9-7.
We are lucky to be 3-1. Our offense is out of sync and I do not see the O improving. Jay has looked flat all year long and teams are daring us to win with the passing game. Our D is under constant pressure to limit scoring and will probably wear out towards the end of the year like in years past.
Sorry guys, I love the Dolphins as much as everyone here, but I keep seeing the same problems game after game and expect these problems to hit us hard if we don't make the adjustments we need to. Our defense can not hold up like this all year and will wear out if all the pressure is on them.

Every team in the AFCE has upgraded their D lines to counter Ricky. Every other opponent is stacking the line against an inexperienced O-Line to stop Ricky. Unless we can open up our passing game, we are due for a long, frustrating season.

What are you talking about? We were dared to win with our passing game, and guess what? we won. We played both the bills and the jets, with their upgraded defenses, and guess what? we won.

13-3

I expect a respectable 12-4 and a bye finally. Our offense will get better. The fins are winning with an offense and a defense that is still trying to get in sync. Once they feel comfortable with their schemes and routines, I think things will really take off. By the time december comes around, we won't see the same December Dolphins of past years.

12-4. I don't think we'll lose this time in Dallas. The Fins love the national spotlight cause in the past they have been embarassed. 3 Losses= Colts, Titans, Bills

Amen.

Barring a late season collapse...

We should finish at worst 11-5. Last year we should have been 11-5 too. We had the best team in the AFCE by far yet we didn't make it.

The record is what it is. Not an aberration or abhoration. It is simply the record of wins and losses. Pontificators who favored the Dolphins heavily before the season may view the loss to the Texans as an aberration. Naysayers who think the Dolphins are overrated may think that the 3 wins are an aberration.

The truth is that unless the Dolphins start to either dominate every week or stink every week, we can't say for sure. Except for the 2 excellent past outings by our defense, we have been inconsistent. I agree with Bumrush that our offense is out of sync. Big plays on offense and defense are not being converted into points.

We are rated very high now in the power rankings because of those big plays and controlling the game clock. We need to be more consistent and then in 3-4 weeks we can have this discussion again.

How I see it....

@Jacksonville, L
Oct. 19 New England, W
Oct. 27 @San Diego, W
Nov. 2 Indianapolis, W
Nov. 9 @Tennessee, L
Nov. 16 Baltimore, W
Nov. 23 Washington, W
Nov. 27 @Dallas, W
Dec. 7 @New England, L
Dec. 15 Philadelphia, W
Dec. 21 @Buffalo, L
Dec. 28 NY Jets, W

Final record: 11-5, win AFC East...3rd seed overall
