Everyday I read these practice reports and I read, sack, coverage, sack, incomplete, etc....this is with EVERY QB, not just specific to one or the other.
It seems to me that our receivers really suck and/or our line isn't gelling together yet. Say what you want about the QBs, but the receivers/TEs and lone aren't playing well either.......
Something has to give and we need Terry Glen in here now...maybe should have even gotten Keyshawn Johnson even though I hate him.....
Every year it seems that it takes our O-line to about mid season before they really start to gel. And this year it could take even longer, w/all the new blood. I hope not, but you've got to start a foundation & hope it takes off. Hopefully this year they'll come together & next year they'll be good from the start.
As for the QB's fault, I don't know if it's any one person's fault. Sure the QB is at the helm. But you need everyone to be on the same page 1st. New coaches, new QB's, new O-line, new WR's, new TE, new everything, so it's going to be a while B4 it all flow's smoothly. Have got to keep in mind "Re-building".
As for T.Glenn, he's a stud if healthy, but is also on the tail end of his career. Does he really fit, in the re-building scheme - NO. He probably would improve the WR corp, but why not let Ginn (speed) & Hagan (size) & (breakout years) play to their potential. Once these guys are getting 10+ looks a game, I believe the stats will come.
And as for Keyshawn, please tell me you're kidding? Guys retire for a reason - because they know it's just not in them anymore. I never liked the idea of trying to pull him out of retirement, and even though he was a decent WR in his day, it's no longer his day. If it were, he'd still be playing. BP will turn this team around, but KJ is not the answer. May be a good mentor/WR coach?
