IMO i think we wont be adding anoyone to the roster from this point on baring an injury ofcourse. I think the coaching staff just needs to finish signing our draft picks and just let people start duking it out for positions. even though cuts are coming up i dont think we need to add anyone even though we will have 1000 threads saying should we sign this guy or this is a BP kinda guy. i liek how deep we are in the trenches and we actually have Qb competition we also have some youth and a MEAN STREAK about a mile long i like what we got and personally do not think we need to add anyone or make a trade unless it BLOWS US AWAY.

Actually, if reports are true about Julius Wilson and Ndukwe or whatever his name is...then we are not so hurting on the OL anymore. Execution will be the key for the OL.


I think if Will Allen gets in trouble, there is our real depth problem at CB.


Back to the original question. I do think we got our special teams set!

But I do think we will tinker with the last 10-15 guys on the roster (53 man roster)once cuts come and we set the practice squad because BP and co. will have their eyes on guys come mid August.

Our roster is not set, but yes the base is there. There will be guys who do not get the program or dont fit.

The roster is far from being set. Players will be cut and others will be signed before training camp gets here. Especially watch to see what veterans are cut from other teams on June 1st.

We get #1 on the waiver wire. On top of that, we still need to cut 2 or 3 more players to sign our draft picks (80 man rule). On top of that, the June 1st/3rd? cuts are coming any day now... a lot of talented overpaid guys are about to be cut. I wouldn't say we're exactly set at NT and Corner.

This is a 1-15 team... so I imagine there are a number of guys who will be cut who are better than the worst guy on our roster.

I think the roster is far from set. I think a lot of the starters on offense may be determined, but with the cuts coming and Parcells type players sure to be floating around free agency we will be seeing many additions to come.

I think we are only set at QB, RB/FB, S, DE and OG . . . plus K and P. Everything else could use an upgrade . . . but I'm in favor of bringing in guys even for positions we "think" we are set at . . . whatever makes for better competition . . . something that has lacked on this team for a long time.

I think anytime you see an opportunity to upgrade the talent on your team......you do it. If some players become available who might do this for us during the rest of the offseason.....we should and will investigate signing them.

hell no we still have alot of holes. No depth on line, mediocre receiving corp and mediocre corners. Need lb's especially with taylor gone and Porter probably gone after this season.

You are the only one that metioned Allen. If they they prove anything, he is as good as done. You are also right on target. Our roster will be far from settled for some time.

I have yet to see you post anything good about this team. Are you sure your not part of the Jets message board? Maybe you would be happier if the team had drafted Dennis Dixon in the 2nd??? Since there is a lot of need for running qb's with bum acl's. Get over it man!
