I just feel like people are beginning to pile on Richie's side and question Martin's motive. Anyone else getting this feeling?

I get that feeling as well. But the fact of the matter is Cog has dug his own grave, no work place (yes...even the NFL) can let him return. That's just how it is, the backlash would be insurmountable. But the more that comes out, the more it's becoming harder for me to see Martin just come back to an NFL locker room and be accepted by his teammates.

No.

Richie is pretty much done in the court of public opinion at this point. Personally I have no sympathy at all for him even though I really question the way Martin has handled this and what his motivations are.

BTW for what it's worth I've seen that Richie will be giving an exclusive interview to Channel 7 at 6pm. You can always count on WSVN for the sensational stuff.

Not happening. Incognito's offense is documented. Martin's motives will never be known definitively.

the only people on Incognito's side are Phin fans and his lawyers...and not many Phin fans!

Richie benefits from fairly low standards. If nothing bad surfaces within a 12 hour period, he wins.

His silence is all you need to know about how he's doing. Bullies chirp if they think they are even, let alone ahead.

On Behalf of the NY JETS....We look forward you your bully beat down in two weeks. Thanks for making us 6-4. See ya....

P.S. Hugs to Ritchie...

- The players have all been on Richie Incognito's side. This includes current teammates, former teammates, and even players on other teams. This is because NFL athletes consider themselves to be warriors headed to the battlefield, where their bones will be shattered, and toughness is respected, while snitches, cowards, and quitters are hated.

- The media has all been on Jonathan Martin's side. This is because in the current politically correct culture, the n-word is a deal breaker, and bullying has been highlighted in the media for the last decade.

I don't see any "tide turning". Everyone was lined up from the beginning, and has held their position.

I dunno about tide turning in Richie's favor, BUT as the day has gone on I've noticed that people are slowly starting to step back and question Jonathan Martin.

PTI just had a small segment and Kornheiser and Wilbon admitted that they were shocked by how players were reacting in supporting Richie and not Martin, and they also said after hearing Richie talk that maybe his texts weren't actually racist.

I've also noticed that now that a bunch of recent pictures of Martin and Richie are being sent around, more journalists are starting to ask questions

The more fuel the media can throw on the fire, meaning the worse they can make Incognito look, the more this "sells". Right now they are looking to see if Richie has kicked any puppies lately ....

I just watched the supposed interview. Its just him saying no comment. Do you think he cant defend himself because of ongoing investigation?? It just seems like after all his Shefter tweets and his history he would've defended himself somehow. I have a feeling we are going to see legal blowback not only from Martin, but Richie also. There is so much to this story that doesn't add up!

Also the man just bought a brand new Ferrari he was delivered today, whatever importance that had in the news report! LOL

I don't think anyone here is defending incognito. I question the story Martin brought forward as it pertains to telling the coaches and I think philbins job is safe because he really didn't know. but incognito is still gone and crossed a line

Incognito is a jerk and Martin is a punk....I'm done with this unless some new information comes out that means something......time to get back to football and let the talking heads beat this into the ground until they find the next shinny object to drown.....

It would not surprise me if y'all get the beat down. This may be a mad team, stirred up nest of hornets.(I hope.) Besides who have the Jets ever beat down?

If it is proven that Martin took the voicemails out of context, then yes Cog has a future. Short of that, and correctly so, he doesn't deserve to be in a NFL locker room.

For me, there is like 10% of me that just has the feeling that Martin may just be slimy enough to have set the whole thing up.
