Julius Pruitt spent the past year on PS.Pruitt has similar height(6'2") and weight(209) to Miles Austin, who spent his rookie season on PS.Then found himself working his way up the depth chart.Pruitt is a small school prospect(Quachita Baptist),who has deep threat capability(4.42).

One thing about him though is he has a vert of 31.5,which is pretty much the vert of a linebacker or a runningback.

Im not saying were not going to get WRs this off-season,cause IMO were gonna get a WR whos unafraid to go over the middle. However,Pruitt does have the possibility of being a break out player, should Miami keep him around for a another few years to develop.

Just, keep an ear out for his name in the coming seasons.....we could be surprised

wow just wow.

and everyone was scared of miles austin 2 years ago right?
Thank you....just thank you.All I was saying was that he could be in the same position as Miles was,and that he could end up being a nice find, and some people just cant help but be completely ignorant to the meanings of my entire post.

I never said he'd be a superstar for "2010 and beyond."

LOL, you wont get many ppl on Finheaven to admit that the WR that they are looking for might already be on the team. I would not dismiss Pruitt any more than I am going to Turner. Right now they both are just two unknown projects being developed.

Until they either get on the field and prove they are good or suck & are cut then no one will honestly know.

He COULD be but the odds are greatly against it!

because he's the same height and weight as miles Austin we might have a gem. Sorry let's see if he can make a roster first

I just have a hard time believing that any receiver on this roster can compete for a #1 spot anywhere. While Miles Austin was a diamond in the rough and many teams will pay more attention to the no name guy in hopes he can produce results anywhere near to Austin, it is merely speculation on your part but it is intelligent speculation

Yes GINN is the awnser.

No just kidding.

Seriously tho julius could be a diamond in the rouph

IF he is then I'm seriouy pissed he didn't play this year.

I really hope that Turner does something this offseason to better his chances at getting on the field. 6'5" can't be taught. I also hope that Pruitt can make some noise because with his size and speed, like you said, MDFan85, he could do some serious damage by getting deep.

The answer I would have to say is yes.

Maybe not Pruitt but I'm sure between the players we have on the practice squad and Patrick Turner we can come up with a #1 WR. Guys can BS all they want but there are plenty of WRs in the NFL that have come out of nowhere.

Miles Austin is no number 1 receiver in my opinion (at least right now). The key to his success is Roy Williams on the other side. Sure, Williams isn't the best, I feel he is or is very close to being a #1 which draws the safety to his side.

So if this guy is an Austin type player, he's not what we need.
