Seeing how the Pats took care of manning, is there a formula to beat the Broncos in Denver? Or is it just Brady himself?

That game was in New England...different animal all together.

Secret to beating Denver in Denver is to ask Peyton Manning not to play...nicely.

need to pressure Manning. The pats did it, the seahawks did it, twice. They can lose, just need to get to manning.

Very true. Home field in Denver will be tough. That crowd really jacks up and fires the team.

I have heard that Manning can be distracted with endorsement deals....just have someone on the sidelines with contracts and he won't be able to concentrate on anything else...

Yes, but not without Moreno. The Chargers won at Denver last year with roughly 38 minutes of possession. The Patriots played a lot of press man-to-man coverage yesterday. That is probably more critical than QB pressure given Manning's quick release.

Pressure has ALWAYS been Manning's achilles heal since his AFC East days. Unfortnately, on the back it things could get a little dicey. The Patriots had the DBs to play man behind that pressure which makes it that much more effective. Further, they were dropping LBs etc into those crosses that they like to run (See the LBs INT on Deymerius).

We certainly have the Front end component, But I'm not sure how that Back end with that off-coverage we like to play is going to work.

Denver has been extremely effective in the 2nd half of games in Denver. Part of it has to do with the altitude. The other point is teams have to get 1 dimensional to keep up.

Keys.
1. We have to run the ball successfully
2. Convert 3rd downs
3. Stop the run without stacking the box.-Manning will try to run the ball if you give him looks that say the run is the play. I have constantly seen him check out of a pass on 3rd and 4 and go to the run if the look is off. To the point where I think he hurts the team. Dude is an all time great he should be passing here.
4. Stop the RAC. Demaryius Thomas is a beast in the screen/slant game. Can't let him get off.
5. First half I would stay as base as possible. Save looks for late in the game.
6.Defend the back shoulder throw.
7. Challenge everyone but Demaryius Thomas to beat you deep. Play over under on him and force the others to beat you over the top.
8. Manning is a beast at throws on the sidelines force boundary receivers in and cover the middle of the field.
9. Control the clock but not to the point where we play conservative. I have seen teams manage the Broncos but end up just short in the end.
10.If you control their pass rush the D is very gettable. Could match up or at least better. Their rush is an outside one. Not up the gut. Read option should slow that down.

The key to beating Peyton is you have to hit him every chance you get. Manning is like any other QB when he is under constant pressure and getting hit, he begins to make mistakes.

Getting the pass out quick is how he avoids the rush. You have to limit that to have any chance to hit him. Pass rush is important if you can slow his release but does not matter if you can't.

Peyton lost throwing velocity you could see it on that duck he threw where D.Thomas bailed him out. The ball hung. So wind effects him even more now with his neck repairs.

We have to slow the receivers from breaking into their routes and, most importantly, get in Manning's face.
