Is there a legitimate chance we fire Philbin?

Won't be happy to see anyone gone, let them live and learn I believe they only have three years left and if i'm not mistaken we have gotten better over the last 5 years. We are getting better.

Huh?

There damn well better be. As I said in another thread- being ouscored 39-7 by two ****bag teams with the playoffs on the line is a fireable offense.

Is that you,Jeff?

Im hoping so. Both OC and DC should go if Philbin stays.

If they go with a new GM then I would think he would want to hire his own coach. JMHO but Joe lost the team the last two weeks when it mattered. Nice guy, but sometimes, you know, nice guys finish last. You cannot keep bolting on new parts and hope the machine runs smoothly. Start with a NEW GM, then let him hire the coach. Even as dense as Ross appears to be, I think he knows that's how it should play out.

Why do you think they call it DOPE?

The New GM should pick his own coach. Philbin didn't do enough to keep his job. In fact these last two weeks of disgraceful football should cost him it.

Yes, fire Philbin. Keep the coaching carousel going and make sure everyone knows that Miami is the worst coaching stop next to Dallas. If there is one thing we know since Shula retired, quickly firing coaches creates stability and brings success.

The problem isn't the number of coaches, it's the number of BAD coaches.

Good luck finding a good GM when you are going to force them to keep a losing coaching staff.

Philbin was a deer in headlights today. Completely overmatched

Lolwhat?? Irelan's the reason we have is coaching staff? More like "good luck finding a good GM when you don't get rid of the terrible GM who is already in place.

Didn't say anything about Ireland. No quality GM is going to want to come here if Ross is going to force them to keep Philbin and this coaching staff. Any good GM is going to want to find his own coach.

Ireland's not getting fired either. Sherman will be fired and Coyle might be and that is all that will happen, then 2014 will be the deciding year for pretty much everyone in the franchise.

So the team Ireland put together doesn't improve at all after spending over 200 million in free agency while choking away the playoffs in epic fashion and he gets to come back? Maybe Ross should just sell the team to someone who actually cares about winning.
