Is there a legitimate chance we fire Philbin?

Ireland's not getting fired either. Sherman will be fired and Coyle might be and that is all that will happen, then 2014 will be the deciding year for pretty much everyone in the franchise.

Ireland not being fired indicates a far larger problem than bad GM and bad HC...

Four minutes left in a have to win game and you have no time outs left. Really!! Ryan made our coaching staff look like high school coaches not to mention the Buffalo coaching staff. I can see where Martin got his don't hurt me attitude. Hartline standing on the sideline doing stand up comedy laughing and joking for three quarters. This team needs a coach that is going to hold players accountable . Very disappointing!!

I am so glad you guys are not in charge of making that call. Next year will be his make or break year, like it or not, that is how it is going to be.

The attitude one develops when they become accustomed to mediocrity.

There ****ing better be.

7 points in two weeks against loser teams, both "win and in" games is completely inexcusable.

Fire them all.

Interview Lovie Smith, throw money at gruden, throw money at Cowher, throw money at Dungy and see what sticks.

They need someone who is good at something. What is Phil good at? Where have they excelled?

All I have heard is that he is a good middle manager or accountant or something. It's not especially helpful in a series of 3 hour wars.

Not really sure what his status is right now. I definitely think changes are coming, though not sure if it will be a total house cleaning, Ireland or as small as Sherman being replaced.

What were you saying about Mike McCoy?

If we had the anti-philbin players on this team Dansby,Marshall,Davis and Bush. The best players we had when he came here. We would be a true super bowl contender. We need this guy out of here

He could be fired, but the question is "Should he be"
judging from all you hurting puppies the answer is yes. But is he really the problem? A lot of successful coaches took more than two years to get there. Every season is a microcosm of itself. This team went through a lot, but in my eyes it wasn't all on Joe. Actually you could make an argument they stood tall because of the coach during the national flogging of the team. Injuries, players aging, they all play a part. Nobody saw this offense of line being as bad as it turned out. If it wasn't for such a mismatch, we probably don't lose the two Buffalo games. It probably would be a little bit more prudent to wait until everyone is a little more rational before addressing this question.

I think with some teams turning things around quickly - KC and Philly - with new coaches, Ross may pull the trigger
