Now that we are down to ONE decent Corner left in FREE AGENCY ( LEIGH BODDEN)....Are there any TRADE possibilties for a starting corner?!?!?!!? I Heard somewhere before that Carolina is wanting to part with Ken Lucas...thats a possibilty right??Can you guys think of any other trades that could happen between now and the draft?!?!?

Why are people so refuse to admit on this forum??? C'mon, does Parcells and Sparano have to shout it on LIVE TV??? They are obviosly high on Jason Allen (Sparano praised him all season long...he played with a cast last few games)...they refuse to pay for the position....and are obviously going to be drafting a CB in the first day.

The rookie CB may or may not beat out Jason Allen, but you still have to look at an eventual replacement for Will Allen who will be 32 yrs old and in his last year of the contract...

If Parcells isn't too worried about Jason Allen being our starter as of now, why should we?

Well last I heard Cromartie is on the block in San Diego. So thats a possibility. Send Them Satele and a late round draft pick and maybe get him but I havent kept up with that rumor.

Got a feeling we will end up with Eric Green.

Kinda fits the pattern of the kind of guys we've been going after.
He'll probably come at a price the organization could live with.

I don't think we will trade for a CB.. There were rumors that Cromartie is on the block but just if the Chargers would have signed Drayton Florence, so that obviously did not happen and so there is just Bodden left.. I hope we will sign him but I would be happy with Butler or an other 1st day CB, too.. And trading for Lucas is no possibility because he has an §8 million '09 salary and it was a desperate move by the Panthers to trade him and they will find no taker because everyone knows if they can't trade him, they release him..

I am ok right now with J.Allen being our #2 starting corner but it would be nice to add another because we have no depth at that position and no real expierence..
I think that Nathan Jones is somewhat of a darkhorse in that mix and I believe that the FO and Sparano are very high on him.. He really came through strong in the last weeks of the season..
Maybe our CB group will be like the WRs last season: no real stars but they produce.

I think we should give old Spielman a call in Minnesota. They need a C and a QB. We can trade them Beck and Satele for Cedric Griffin. This would be a classically bad move which Spielman is all to well known for in Miami.

I don't see the f.o. trading picks away, Miami will draft, and build a team under their system. Its been shown last year.

We will draft a guy or two at CB, they will push J. Allen and the winner will start, and i am fine with that.

Cromartie, like Jason Allen has great physical skills. Unlike Allen, he started his NFL career with a bang. However, last season he was somewhat of a disappointment.
Jason Allen is a big, physical DB who runs a 4.36. If he were coming out in this draft he would be one of the top 3 DB's.
This is a weak, but deep draft for DB's (no spectacular players) so I don't see why some are content with us drafting one and assuming he can lock down a starting spot on day one.
I'd rather start opening day with Allen than an unproven rookie.

I trust that we will find a good corner in the draft. No reason to give up picks or players to try and fill this need now.

We'll be fine.
