Is there an update on Byron Jones?

I doubt he plays at Jacksonville this Thursday since it's a short week. I hope he can be back by the Seahawks game though.

Looked like a groin injury, typically groin injuries take a few weeks to recover from. If it’s a more severe groin injury it can take up to around 6 weeks for recovery on average

Was Byron Jones ever hurt with the Cowboys? I don't remember him ever injured with them. Go figure, he signs with the Dolphins and gets hurt in week 2. Never fails.

With our luck it will probably linger for weeks. Remember Dimitri Patterson? He actually showed promise here then had a groin injury and I don’t think he was ever heard of again. Just our luck.

Yeah, that didn't look like just a mild strain or aggravation of the groin. Looked like a significant tear. He went down like he had been shot.

Flores is patriots bread, he’s always going to play the injuries until the last second. My guess, Jones won’t practice this week and be ruled out Wednesday. Flores will say we’ll see in all of his pressers.

Byron Jones DB, Miami Dolphins

Dolphins head coach Brian Flores said CB Byron Jones (groin) "would have to heal pretty quickly" to play Thursday against the Jaguars.

Jones, after leaving Sunday's game with a groin injury, looks like a long shot to play in against Jacksonville in a shortened week. His absence would make a good matchup even better for Gardner Minshew, who has an unsustainable 9.2 percent touchdown rate through two weeks. Minshew will be a rock-solid QB2 with plenty of upside against Miami's woeful secondary.
