I have not seen much lately concerning the employment of Randy Mueller. Do the Dolphins as an organisation hace the upper hand on Mueller. Is it enivatable that he is going to leave??
If anyone has any inside information or has heard something, I'm sure that the rest of us would appreciate it!!

Haven't heard anything so hopefully thats a good thing and he is staying put in Miami.

He has been at the Senior Bowl practices all week evaluating players and maybe possible coaching additions. From last report, he has yet to meet with Tennessee so it is NOT inevitable that he is going to leave. I do wish they would go ahead and give him either a new contract or an extension so we can all put this to rest.

i dont see him just leaving to Tennessee. Wayne will probably outbid tennessee and why would you want to go to tennessee when you can make the sam amount of money in south beach. it just doesnt make sense

Because it's not about the money. It's about respect and being wanted.

I imagine Wayne is just waiting to see what Tennessee offers Randy, so he can beat it and not give the store away, just go better than the Titans. Sure hope that is the case.

I really hope that he sticks around. He could be the person who helps lift this franchise out of laughable status. He and Cam and our new coaching staff really make me excited about the draft and about becoming righted after so many years of false hopes.

Do the right thing Dolphins and sign this man to a contract appropriate to his importance and influence on this organisation.

Don't fool yourself, it is about money. It's ALWAYS about money. If Wayne will pay him more Randy would still go interview with Tennesse to get the bidding going, standard practice.

Personnally I think he hasn't done much here so if I were Wayne, following the Saban fiasco I would make a statement in the media, "Anyone in the Dolphins Org that interviews for a lateral job will be released" or something to that nature. Wayne needs loyal people. He needs people concerned with the doing a Good job in Miami and not concerned with upping their own worth.

Don't fool yourself, everyone is not motivated by money. Pioli of NE has down job offers from other organization to stay where he is because IMO he feels wanted and respected.
Mueller hasn't done much here because he wasn't anything more than a high priced college scout.
It was reported that the Dolphins gave the Titans permission interview Mueller. Mueller did not ask to be nor has he yet to interview with Tennessee.

No, Pioli knows other, better offers will come. There isn't enough bandwidth or server space for me to list the people who have bolted for more money even from better situations.

I don't care who asked or gave permission, I still would let it be known if you accept an interview for a lateral job you will be canned. Wayne has nice guyed the franchise into a hole and he needs to start expecting more from his people and money.

So you're saying, in Wayne H's position, you would fire someone for participating in an interview you've given them permission to take part in? Is that legal?

I hope Randy Mueller stays in Miami and actually gets to do his job, rather than have the Head Coach tell him what to do. To me (And I'm writing with absolutely no experience or knowledge so this could be complete rubbish) it makes sense to let a GM manage and a Head Coach coach.

Miami didn't really grant permission to the Titans. There is wording in Mueller's contract that allows any team to come in and interview him even if Miami doesn't want them to.

No one can predict that a better offer will come around and I did say, not EVERYONE is motivated by money.

You don't care who asked or gave permission? That makes no sense at all. If they can block coaches from interviewing with other teams, they could have done the same thing with Mueller by offering him a new contract or rewording the one he already have.

what a disaster if he would leave now, after watching all these players for us
