Plaxico Burress? I brought this up a couple weeks ago and the consensus seemed to be that he wasn't much better than what we had now and that he was a locker room cancer. http://www.finheaven.com/boardvb2/showthread.php?t=100529

That was before he exploded against the Rams and before everybody started really getting on our WR's. I thought that if we would have been able to sign him in the offseason (and that would have been a big if considering our cap situation), that would have been a big help to our offense.

He's looking pretty damn good right now. It'd be nice to have him and Chambers out there together.

I wanted him to come here but I doubted that he would.

Yeah, I liked him at first but then finheaven slowly turned my opinion on him to that I didn't care if we signed him or not because no one else seemed to like him.

YES...

I wanted him in Miami something bad. His size alone is a huge advantage. Not to mention he's playing better now that he's out of Wards' shadow....

Even Rosenhous was pushing for the Phinz to sign him....

PHINZ RULE!!!

Our biggest problem right now is that Chambers is the prime receiver on throwing play if we had managed to get plaxico in the offseason it would have been a hige pickup. I am also dissapointed with the little produciton by Booker

I wouldn't have wanted to pay him all the money that the New York Giants did, which is why I don't I'm hoping Marty Booker will take a paycut for us next year because he's not producing up to the level he's getting paid, whether it's his fault or not... I hope we restructure his contract. Also, I would think Plaxico would be causing some trouble like showing up late to meetings or practices... I know Tom Coughlin is a nut, but I'm not regretting that we didn't sign Plax. I knew he would do good in New York with Eli which is why I drafted him as my 3rd WR in Fantasy Football (I thought it was a STEAL at the time too) behind Chad Johnson and Anquan Boldin.

yeah boy... he's playing well in New York. If he keeps playing like this he'll be a pro bowl selection for sure. It would have been a nice pick up

is this a i told you so? rolf

If possible I would trade for him, but since this is his first year in the Giants contract I don't think that will happen. Would love to have him though.

If I recall the Giants paid him BIG bucks. The Dolphins can spend BIG bucks on a stud WR once it plugs up the holes elsewhere on the team. When we are really ready to challenge for a spot among the elite then shell out the bucks to put us over the top. Otherwise, we will be salary cap strapped to improve the team as a whole.

I'd rather have taken Eli Manning than Burress. The Dolphins need a QB, not an expensive WR. Like the Raiders, they have Randy Moss yet nothing improves.

What would Burress do for us but put us in a hole(money wise)? Booker is good Chambers is good and Boston could be good. Why would we want to put all that money in him for this year and we aint got a decent qb to get him the ball. At one time people were saying that Booker played the hardest of the WR's now he is slack get real. The guy just aint getting the ball because of lack of accuracy from Gus.
