...that truely makes you shake your head and say "Jeez, I can't believe we let this guy go?"

P Donnie Jones, PK Olindo Mare, DE David Bowens, CB Eddie Jackson, OL Toniu Fonoti, DT Jeff Zgonina, RB Travis Minor, FB Darian Barnes, TE Randy McMichael, QB Joey Harrington, WR Wes Welker, OT Damion McIntosh, RB Sammy Morris, DE Kevin Carter, OG Jeno James, OL Bennie Anderson, OL Seth McKinney.

Because for me, the answer is no. It's all good. Sure David Bowens would be nice to have kept for a reasonable price, but really....are we going to lose a game because one of these guys (or all of them) are gone?

Again, for me, the answer is no. Hell no. And a big high five to Cam or Randy or whoever decided (finally) we need some new blood.

I don't know, just had to vent. I'm a little tired of the fair weather fans berating these moves...it's time for change and hats off to the Mighty Phins for making them.

Now, let's see a kick-*** draft and I'll be able to completely rekindle my feelings that the Fish are, indeed, the best damn team in the league.

My draft choices, barring trade? Well, going against popular opinion, I'd say draft defense in the first round, then go with offense or BPA for the remainder....Leron Landy or Paul Posluszny...then a QB, then a WR and O-Line. Punter in the 6th.

Bring it.

Peace,
T-Fish

im kinda upset we got rid of D-Mac, Fonoti, Jeno...because we need some depth at those positions.

I've always enjoyed D-Mac's passion...maybe he had too much, I don't know...but he always seemed to make a mistake at the wrong time. Fonoti never came back and proved himself after showing some ability early in his career. Jeno...hmmmm....when we first got him, I thought he'd be a rock forever and a day...and he did play DECENTLY, but unfortunately didn't prove he was more than just a hair better than any another average pro lineman.

Appreciate your thoughts, tho.

Pretty good post and I agree with you. Im glad to see us getting rid of some of these marginal type players. However, I disagree with going defense with our 1st pick. As it stands right now our defense is a top 5 defense and our offense is something in the mid 20's. We absolutely need to go offense on the 1st day of the draft. OL and QB being either the 1st or 2nd picks and vice versa depending on which we chose...I know OL isnt such a sexy pick, but, its a far more glaring need than any other position on this team. We must not ignore that. We must go OL or QB with our 1st couple picks

no one here can truly say they wont miss wes, he was the man while he was with the fins but ofcourse hes the enemy now and i cant wait til he gets rockd. not saying that i wouldnt do the trade because we def benifited but still its always upsetting to see a guy who gives it his all and def a fan favorite leave

I'll David Bowens. I liked what he did over the last for few years. Donnie Jones, too. I hope we draft Podlesh, cause that is the only player I think that could do more than hold Jones' jock.

And yes, I'll miss Kevin Carter and Randy McMichael, too.

No, you're right, he will be missed, but not as much as he would had he been mature and just kept his mouth shut in terms of the egotistical comments that little **** made

Just Mare. Carter, Bowens, Welker, and Jones I liked but not at the money they wanted or turning down the deal we got out of them.

Wes had heart, but outside of that, he was nothing special. We haven't been a good team in years, so why not clean house.

i'll miss welker but i gotta say a 2nd rounder and 7th rounder for a guy who was never drafted is great and he got a sweet contract so its a win win.

Your right, depth is good, but only if it is better than marginal talent and these guys werent better than marginal talent. D-Mac and Jeno were both VERY much overpaid and didnt do anything special as soon as they stepped foot on Dolphins soil..D-Mac was a revolving door when he started 3 seaons ago and was really never that good. Jeno James was supposed to be a great singing for us but never panned out. We kept him on the team for far too many seasons. Fonoti came to us only last year and we only got to see how good he was in only limited stints but even so, Cam didnt see enough from him to keep him on the roster. All in all, none of these guys will be missed

i have'nt heard or seen any one berating these moves,i actually think its been the opposite, one of the very few instances where i've seen dolfans agree on something,,,i think a few people were a little upset about wes leaving but i think a nice fat 2nd round pick cured that real quick
