I'm just wondering. If there is, please tell me why. I can see why some people still have some support for Gus (although I think his title of game manager is also slipping away), but can see no reason to support Linehan.
This weeks last play call was absolutely atrocious. They couldn't stop R&R when they knew they were coming. We had 2 downs to puch it in. And we Throw??, with Gus??!!??. Why rely on Gus??!! It makes no sense.:fire:

He fools noone except himself. The endaround is almost comical at this point. Stop the gadget plays and lets play smashmouth football. And try to use a formation for more than one play call or type of play call. My wife knew the plays that were coming and was just half watching the game.

I try to be optimistic and keep an open mind, but I DO NOT want to see this guy here next year (hell, I'd like to see him gone this week). Talk to any Minny fan (or see the other Linehan thread) and they'll tell you I told you so.:fire:

Give me a break... He is a HUGE upgrade from what we had last year...

He just puts WAY too much trust in GUS. I think part of it is ego that he can make it work with Gus and the other part is his pass happy offense should succeed with even mediocre players (GUS).

This loss was Gus's fault, he should've thrown that ball away instead of forcing it in there to no open man. This would be the week to bench Gus, he has had ample opportunity. How much worse could it be with Sage??? He can't lose a game any more than Gus can, there is a W or L no matter what the stats. YES, I'm saying against the Patriots we should throw him in there.

bad playcalling, players fighting on the sideline, i'm questioning saban at this point

Yeah the reverses just baffled me. I can understand 1, but I think they ran at least 3. Maybe he thought Atlana would overpursue or soemthing..I dunno...This is the same guy that called a pass from Randy Moss as the Vikings were driving for a game tying score last year, which resulted in an interception...

I like the aggresive nature of the playbook, but the playcalling has been suspect.

sure i still support him, he called one bad game he is still a good OC

I still support him.

I was FURIOUS at the last play, and I think it was an indefensable call......but I'm not gonna turn on him because of that one call.

The thing that gets me, is that after years of suffering through Wanny-ball, it seems that it was everyone is screaming for.

IMO, the prob with this offense is that we don't have the players (mostly QB) to make it work right now.....we have an offense suited fro Wanny-ball.......but I don't think that the goal at the beginning of the year was to win a SB this year.....but to start building towards winning a SB in the near future. So I don't think that our OC should completely change his philosophy just to cover up for our bad QB play. He needs to get all the players in our offense 100% comfortable and confident in his system.

Again, a few of his calls have killed me, but I'm not gonna lynch the man for believing in a system which has been proven to work on this level.

Players always fight on the sideline. It happens in just about every game for every team. I think it's just some piling on ... making a bad situation worse...the media makes that out to be more than it is..

Gus needs to execute, yes; but the play should have never been called to begin with. Linehan is a clown. Ask any Minny fan and they are happy to be rid of him.
His favoorite play is and end around?!! an End around

i´m questioning his ability to get players ready for the start of the game, how many opening TD or scores did we allow in the first 9 weeks ? a lot i think, it seems the great motivator saban can´t get the team ready on the first drive on defense

I'm not even begining to question Linehan at this point. Playcalling didn't lose the game, execution did. I'm all for the execution of Frerotten (J/K, cutting him would be fine).

I agree with you on this! Bad play calls are only that because the QB couldn't execute.

I still support him wholeheartedly. He has no weapons on offense except for Ronnie and Ricky. Saban used the draft for defense except for the first pick, so I bet next year our offense will be much better.

Just to throw something out there..... say that play he called resulted in a TD, we would all be signing a different tune right now.

I'm not high on Linehan, but Im also not ready to give up on him yet. Our offense is more exciting then last year. The main problem has always been, and remains to be the qb position. It doesnt matter who your coordinator is if you cant throw accurately. That last play call wasnt what I would have done, but Gus cant make that throw into double coverage.
