Does anybody know if it's official that the game will be broadcast via directv? I don't want anyone who spoke with a Joe from DTV and was told the game would be on I'm talking about a direct link from either CBS, the NFL, or DTV saying the game would be on.

Yes, it's official. It was in the Miami Herald.
But DTV doesn't seem to know yet. I don't know if that would be considered official.

I've called DTV 6 times within the last hour and no one has been able to give me an official answer that the game will be on. They all say that it is TBD.

If the game is played tommorrow then Direct TV will air it. If for some reason the game is postponed from its 8:30pm start until Monday or Tuesday then Direct TV will probably not air it.

I really want to believe you and I really hope you're right but how do you know this? I've called 6 times like I said and no one has given a definitive word. 2 weeks ago, all kinds of people on this site we're making claims that DTV told them this or that (even posted e-mails) and we all know how that turned out.

Bottom line: IF the game is played tomorrow night, Directv will have it. They have to live up to the "Sunday Ticket" title. If it's Monday or Tuesday, then it's up in the air.

Not if the NFL says no. One of the CS reps. told me (in one of the 6 calls that I made) that DTV has the rights to the 1pm and 4pm games on Sunday. If it's moved to any time on Sunday or any other day from there, they may not be able to televise the games especially if the NFL says no due to the fact that the ESPN game is on.

Stop being a damn negative nancy.

The bottom line is DirecTV is not allowed to show NFL games on any day of the week other than Sunday. Thats why MNF games and late season Saturday and Thursday games can only be shown on local CBS, ABC, or FOX stations. So if the game is on Sunday, it will be on Sunday Ticket, if not, it wont. Or at least that is what the NFL rep guy said on the radio a couple weeks ago when asked about the Titan game being on TV.

If ESPN doesnt carry both games with (one on ESPN 2) then the NFL will not allow DTV to show it and compete with ESPN's Sunday night telecast which holds the rights for SUN NIGHT GAMES! DTV only holds the rights for the afternoon games. Which is why it says UP TO 16 games every Sunday! Not we guarantee 16 games.

Damn that sux...cuz i really dont think ESPN will be showing it.

Honestly, I cant see ESPN getting all there wires, camears etc. over to Pro Player in one days notice.

Any new word on this as of yet? Was there a credit given (DTV Sun Tick subscribers) for the Titans/Dolphins (Saturday) game because of the last hurricane?

What a bummer.... geeesh...

RP :D

if they can't compete with college football on Saturday night, or Sunday night football, or Monday night football then why don't they only play one NFL game a week because technically all the 1 and 4 p.m. games are competing with eachother!!! This is such a ridiculous situation by the NFL
