Is there anyway possible HE stays on the team despite this event?

Things can get pretty heated with a hot-headed chick like his wife, still no excuse to head butt a woman...if he indeed did. I don't care either way, we could use the help though. What a dumb move , real stupid.

This is the idiot he married:

And granted, he's an idiot for marrying this skank. It wouldn't surprise me at all if she was in his face yelling and they knocked heads as opposed to him straight out head butting her. You never know, I doubt that there is video tape evidence of the incident, but people as usual want to act as judge/jury/executioner before all of the facts are known. His biggest mistake was marrying that money grubbing loud mouth b****.

He should be gone and it shouldn't even have anything to do with this incident. This team should be developing their young players with their rookie QB.

Bye Chad. You and David can help carry each others bags on the way out the door.

I think chad could get out of it! if his pissed off wife drops the case and adds more information that he acted in self defense. As far as staying on the dolphins roster he would need a miracle and a genetic mutation. Like wake up with velcro attached to his hands.

After sleeping on it and initially thinking it was 100% he would be cut, I am now thinking it is 50-50. It is easy to see why the Dolphins would want to cut him and wash their hands of any trouble. Can't blame them for not wanting him around as a potential distraction. Still though, through camp he has worked his way into a starting role, his teammates reportedly enjoy being around him(the opposite of Brandon Marshall) and he has no prior legal history. Koa Misi was arrested in March and the team has stuck behind him, and teams around the NFL have stuck behind players for much worse than this. Honestly if Johnson didn't have his f-bomb press conference last week that pissed Philbin off, I am not so sure cutting him would be so much on the team's mind.

As Herman Edwars stated on ESPN, despite everyone wanting a quick decision today, the proper way to handle this is to take a few days to sort things out. Would give Ireland and Philbin the ability to let it sink in for a few days, do their own investigating and see how much of an impact if any it has on the way Johnson practices. I think it would be a much easier decision for them to cut him if he hand't established himself as the #1 WR in camp.

thing is Nubs, there is a difference from a DUI (which while dumb, there are different levels) and domestic violence.

I don't think you make a quick decision, but I'm leaning towards him getting cut. I'm all for second chances, but he was warned once by Philbin for his press conference antics.

It's gonna be interesting.

Agreed, it totally depends on the circumstances. He may be a clown but he has never been in trouble before, so he should get a little more benefit of the doubt than say a Brandon Marshall.

I don't know the total circumstances, and therefore am not qualified to judge and will not rush to judgement as everyone seems to do anymore.

Here is a little snippet about her regarding her reality show and relationships with co-stars...it might explain the physical stuff with Ocho that he has never been known for before:

Over the course of the series, Lozada has engaged in feuds with many of the other cast members (Tami, Royce and Kenya) that often turned physical.

Although I was never a fan of his I have to agree this will probably be the approach as it is the way it should be handled. I cannot stand anyone who hits a woman which leads me to still want him cut immediately but I expect the team to due their due diligence.

But how do you factor in "her" history of violence? As far as I know Chad has not been in trouble before.

Is it possible she caused this? Confined in a car anything can happen. Is it fair to say a woman can never be wrong in these matters? Did she attack him and he was only trying to get away from her?

Who knows? Thats why I say let the facts comeout before we rush to judgment.

I don't think so, nor do I think he should. I think Philibin would have a tough choice if it was Chad Johnson of three years ago, but for a player barely hanging on this was really, really stupid.

Not really sure you can say one is worse than the other. Domestic violence is a horrible thing and shouldn't be tolerated. However, with domestic violence there may be two sides to the story which can greatly change how the case proceeds. In this case however, the fact that his wife is the one that went to the hospital, things don't look good for Chad. There is no two sides to a DUI.

With a DUI, that in my opinion should be considered attempted murder. There is no excuse for someone to get behind the wheel of a car after drinking. There is no difference between driving drunk and giving a drunk person a loaded gun in a public place. At the very least if you are arrested for drunk driving you should lose your drivers license for life and spend up to 30 years behind bars.

I think it comes down to the health of Hartline. If he's ready to go Week 1, absolutely we cut him. If not, I think we keep Johnson - use the excuse that this is his first offence, give him a warning. I honestly just want us to wash our hands with him but unfortunately I could see him staying.
