It was great to finally see these guys play as a team, and make plays when they were needed. They actually looked like the team everyone was hoping to see back in early September. I can't really say anything negative about the performance yesterday other than the extremely large amount of penalties...

Those aside, I don't think anyone could have beat the Phinz yesterday with the way they were playing. They certainly came with mission at hand, and they conquered....

Personally, I'm not going to get overly excited after beating the Bears yesterday. Sure, I'm as happy as I've been all season long right now, but let's not forget that this team is still only 2-6. What I want to see is this same consistancy on a weekly / game by game basis. Until that happens, this win {although a huge one}, is merely just another mirage. We're 2-6, and coming off a great win, but this team is still "among the worst" in the NFL.....

Some of you loyalists out there may want to criticize me for taking away from the team's win by making these comments, but that's the way I feel. I can't help it, I've seen this type of thing too many times to get lead into believing anything otherwise. Please don't take my opinions personally. Thanks....

You will certainly hear it.

A lot of teams could've beat the Dolphins yesterday. The defense was outstanding, but the offense was pretty weak (outside of Brown) and the opponent did everything they could to give away the game.

I disagree...we wouldn't LET them execute, and we FORCED mistakes by powerful passionate play

the team played well except for Harrington. to his credit, the bears defense is very good

You could make that claim. I think it was some of both - Grossman only threw about one pass on target all day. His timing was way off and the offense was totally out of sync. You could say that the Dolphins made them that way and you might be right. We certainly disrupted their offense, but you can't deny the Bears looked extremely flat.

The Dolphins had three interceptions in the first seven games and three yesterday, so I think that certainly has something to do with the opponent. Maybe it was the change in the secondary. Yeremiah Bell has been very good every time he's had a chance to play. I've reserved judgment on Jason Allen and hope he turns out to be good - maybe he will be.

i think if any team plays like the bears did we will win out they game the game to us if every qb ploays like grosswoman did we will win they had countless turnovers they played horrible and we took advantage but i see this as a turn around only if they teams play like what we saw on sun

Little bit of both until I see the game I refrain from comment.

Having seen some Bear games, while Da'Bears are quite good they ain't great.

Still any team that can lose to the Texans and then whip the Bears is doing something right.

It is impossible to make everybody happy on this board, even after a win against one of the NFLs best.

Neither...

Turning point would suggest the team is has a shot at the playoffs. But I do think it showed some ability on the team.

There is a reason for the saying "on any given Sunday".

It might of just given us all a reason to get excited about Sundays again. Hopefully the team wont use it as yet another chance to rip our hearts out.

I know nooone wants to say it but it is sitting at the back of our minds, every win might cost the 'phins more than helps. As each pickis thrown by the Dolphins QB's I'm thinking more and more about drafting a QB.

The Dolphins played with Soul yesterday....the last time they played like that was last year when they beat the Pats...in a game that meant nothing to them except pride....without pride....all the process...planning means nothing...as we all have seen in the first seven games...before yesterdays game. It took a bunck of GREAT old farts...to get the Dolphins to play like a team...a real team....a team with ANGER....Lets all hope they remember the lesson.

even if we won 10 straight games, it would mean narrowly missing the playoffs again. I would love to see a 10 game winning streak.

I agree. It reminds me of when the Dolphins destroyed the Patriots two years ago near the end of the year - or when they defeated an arguably better San Diego team last year.

It's much easier to go into a game where everyone is expecting you to lose - after a bye week with lots of preparation - and the other team doesn't respect you.

The offense was still suspect - as it didn't have a lot of great drives, though Ronnie ran well. Given 6 turnovers, including one for a TD and another two deep in enemy territory, and 90% of teams in the NFL will score 31 points every time.

There are still question marks as to consistency. This team needs to put together 4-5 good games in a row and build confidence. It's a start, but that's it. They still have serious question-marks.

Jason Taylor had a gargantuan game and Grossman was shakey - that won't happen every game. This game showed potential - but they still need a great deal of improvement in several phases and to be consistent before any objective observer will have confidence in them.

It's a start. I wanted to start seeing this team be a little more consistent, and I saw progress yesterday. I've been harping on Saban that I didn't see us getting progressively better, and I saw that yesterday. Yes, there were turnovers and some of them were stupid, but I did see a monumental jump in execution and coaching. Ronnie Brown was great, and the o-line opened some MASSIVE holes against one of the best defenses in the league.

If I see progress, that's all I need for this year because frankly the chances of seeing the playoffs are infinitesimely small (can always hope though!).

Yeah, I hope they can sustain the passion that they played with yesterday for the rest of the season.

Harrington can improve, and Malaurkey still bl0ws. Joey should have hit some of those wide open receivers deep, and our OC had some bad moments as well with the play calling...

I see a win next week against KC. It would hurt to see Huard beat us...
