Is This Our One Big Injury?

I know we have Albert and others that we are watching, but there is usually one big unexpected injury every year. Is it only going to be Delmas? Most teams seem to lose one key contributor between training camp and preseason.

...odds are there will be more. The single biggest unpredictable "luck variable" in football is the dreaded ligament injury (or torn this or that).

The accumulation of stress pro athletes put on the joints is bound to eventually create issues. That and the nasty lateral "kinks" or twist/torques that joints just ain't made for.

Look at what happened in Jacksonville during the 1st Rookie OTA or whatever it was -- their #1 pick blew out the knee on a routine rush... Can happen any play at any time...

The football gods are rather nasty that way.

We will see. This is the time of year that I literally brace myself before visiting team websites and message boards because I don't want to see that someone was injured. I don't even like talking about one because something in my nature suggests that if we speak of it, then it will come for others. Sadly, GMs and coaches can have great teams on paper but drastically different teams on Sunday afternoons.

If we're a good team we can win without having a pro bowl left tackle.

And there's no such thing as one big injury. Some teams have several big injuries. A lot of teams do, actually.

I always felt like he came back too soon. They should've took their time with him like they did with Albert. Something good will come out of this situation though. Can't wait to see what it is.
