Remember over the summer Saban said he wanted an over-achieving team.. so, has he been successfully in the implementation of that mentality?

No, this is a team that shoots themselves in the foot at key moments and does enough to lose games they could win.

Perfect example is last week, missed FG, redzone fumble, etc..

In week 1 they did.

with a bad quarterback and the worst secondary in the league, i'd say we're doing allright, so yeah we're overachieving

Not yet.

I'm hoping for a strong finish though.

Over achieving....When your losing....you don't achieve anything.

Of course you can achieve when you lose...is Ronnie Brown not achieving anything like getting adjusted to the speed of the NFL and still producing good considering his amount of attempts.

Well, we've covered the spread 3 times in 9 games. Only in our wins. The losses to the Jets, Bills, Buccs, Chiefs, Falcons and Patriots were all not only defeats but outside the number. In the Chiefs game we were actually a slight fave or pick at gametime.

I'm not saying that's perfect way to gage overachieving or underachieving but simply one reference point. Also our season win number was 5.5, which equates to a projection of 5.5-10.5. Right now we're right on pace at 3-6. I need 3 wins in 7 games to win my over 5 flat, so I suggest we begin overachieving and soon.

Overachieving if you compare what most of them are earning as opposed to what their results have been in the win - loss column...

In other words they are overachieving in their contracts!

As a matter of fact, I think they've been underachieving. They should have 5 wins right now.

IMO, the season's biggest swing came week 5. With a chance to put some space between us and the division, we come out flat and lose a very winnable game despite being -4 in the TO ratio. If we win this game, I think our team gains confidence and it propels us to more wins in the future. Instead, we go on and lose some very winnable games for various reasons. Since this game, our record has been 1-4.

Brown is not over achieving...he is doing what we hoped a #2 would do. but I am very happy with him
