Does it feel that way to anyone else? Even with the 1-win season, there was a glimpse of hope toward the end. I can't help but feel we are destined for failure as long as Ross owns the team. The Dolphins have become the equivalent of a leper since Ross took over. No one wants anything to do with us! This offseason has made it crystal clear.

I would honestly have felt better about our present situation if they had stated from the beginning that they are staying with Matt Moore and pursuing a QB to develop in the draft, rather than going to bat and striking out on every FA QB available and bringing in even the likes of David Garrard for a visit.

This was an embarrassing display of futility and incompetence and further buries the Dolphins' reputation among the public and others in the NFL.

I almost feel bad for Philbin because I believe he is being set up to Cameronesque failure.

No, it's a tie between the Jag playoff loss, and Marino "Being made" to retire.

Agreed. As long as Ross/Ireland are the face of Miami, we are toast. Nobody wants to come here. Its sad how far we have dropped...

well we can hope for an out on ireland, but ross? how the **** do you convince him to leave? odds are... he's taking this team down on purpose now, in hopes of relocating.

i must admit am i feeling pretty damn low about my dolphins.

at least we made the playoffs then

Depends. If you're talking about a lowpoint as a fanbase, then yes this is it. We're simply not relevant in the slightest, and when the Dolphins are discussed, it's either to mock the front office, or because we blew some signing

Football wise, it was 2007. We'd had some bad years, but that really put how far we'd fallen into perspective. We were officially a bottom feeding franchise.

We need to remember we're a 6 win team. As bad as free agency has gone, a good draft and a few solid moves can up our stock.

The lowest point will be when Ross signs Tebow and expect Philbin and Sherman to turn him into a WCO QB. At that point 40 years of Dolphin fandom will come to an end for me.

Sucks pretty bad. I would have liked a signing of a WR more than a QB but they let all of them go also. I'm comfortable with giving Moore the start but I think we should have gotten either a top WR or a solid RT in free agency.

To me the lowest point was the 62-7 playoff loss to Jacksonville and the final game of Marino's career. One of the few times I really cried over a game. Mainly I knew I would never see a QB like Dan again. I never imagined we would go through 16 QB's and not be any better off 12 years later. What has happened to this once great franchise? I can't imagine how guys like Marino, Zach Thomas, Griese, Csonka, Kiick, Buoniconti, Fernandez, and others are feeling about the Phins, but something needs to be done. Sell the team Mr. Ross and let someone else restore things.

No. The lowest point in Dolphins' history has to be the period between the infamous 62-7 loss to Jax through JJ's meltdown during the press conference where he announced his resignation. The second lowest was how Shula was kicked to the curb.

This is nowhere near that.

Watching Cleo Lemon and Joey Harrington play for our team was pretty low for me.

This is nowhere near that.

We were still a playoff team then... And we went to the playoffs for a few years after that.

This is much worse... Much worse...

The Dolphins have become the Bengals/Lions of yesteryear.
