Is this the problem ?

That pick could have got us a really good O-lineman.
Or at least someone productive.

That's a legitimate question......when you add up what we had at OL going into the season you would think we would have paid more attention to the OL, you had Martin who everyone knew was mentally fragile, frat boy Richie who is one incident away from being cut, Clabo who couldn't do the job at his last stop and a bunch of journey men, the only solid position was Center......I am not so upset about the 1st pick getting Jordan, I think as a GM if you have a chance to draft a difference maker you have to do it....but to use a 5th rd on a kicker is was gets me......but like I said about Ireland he wins some and loses some and to be fair IMO the O line is playing better than I thought it would with all of the injuries, suspensions and benching s they played well in the last 3 games not counting yesterday......

I still think we will play well in the tournament if we can get there, we match up well against the playoff teams, I'm just happy we won't see the bills again until next yr...

Most of the dolphins fans heads would have exploded if we did that. I doubt that a high pick OL would have made that much of a difference this year with this line.

Agreed. The OL taken by Philly & KC haven't exactly lit it up.

This yr w/ the phins drafting in the 18 to 23 range; Taking Erving (FSU), the OG from Baylor, or Cyrus Kouandjio from Bama as an OG would be ideal.

I know the price for Jordan was high and he hasn't performed like a No. 3 pick this year (which is understandable when they don't put you on the field), but I still think getting him was the right move, just maybe not one that makes an immediate impact.

From what I've seen of Jordan, he has the ability to be a generational talent on defense. He's a natural rusher with speed and length. He's athletic enough to cover a guy like Gronkowski. And he's got so much room to grow, both literally and in the sense of developing his game.

If you are going to make a big move, you make it for a potential game-changer. The Dolphins have had so few of them in the last couple of decades. This guy has the potential to be a game-changer, and it's not that much of a long shot as it is for other players.
