From Dumbstadt to Saban - From philbin to Cameron -from jackass jimmy Johnson and his ****ing Cecil Collins to Adam Gase with his love affair with me average Tannehill... WE HAVE SUCKED!!!

Is this time going to be different?

Are we going to go through another year of a coach in Gase whose a proven failure? And then go through another regime change and lag in 7-9 land for two more years?

Or are we going to finally get our pride back?

Depends on Ross. Keep anyone of t-baum, Grier and Gase and we'll get the same results
Clean house and get a real GM and things could change.

THIS TOWN NEEDS AN ENEMA!!!

Depends on if they value the quarterback position. One thing the Bills, Browns, and Jets (perrenial losers) have in spades over the Dolphins is hope. Nothing jump starts a franchise, and makes average Joe’s in the front office and coaching staff look smarter, than a quarterback playing at a high level.

How to get different results: You take different actions.

Previously: Kept pieces in place after making only partial changes, hired first time NFL head coaches, got bad results.

This time? If you are going to take action, then take a different action. Clean sweep of coaching staff and front office, evaluate every position on the field and don't hold the new coach / GM to any specific players (e.g. quarterback), and get a proven coach. Go trade for John Harbaugh. Guarantee things will be different if you do that.

For real. Miami has been buying new carpets and putting them over old dirty pads for years and wonder why the new carpet stinks after a couple of years.

Need luck a good candidate is available. Need luck that candidate is interested in Miami. After the luck works out, it's identifying the candidate and reaching an agreement.
For this time to be different, luck has to fall right and the right pick has to be made. We all know how many times poor teams had tried and failed with new HCs in the last 20 years. That said, Miami is due

Alrhough our bad luck has to run out eventually i have little hope. A franchise seemingly accepting mediocrity is our makeup.

Ok - I accept but a team cannot stay with a proven failure

You mention many different situations and scenarios over a period longer than two decades. Different team owners.

I don't know what they have in common, other than the Dolphins organization.

You were against them bringing in Jimmy Johnson?

Against luring Saban from college to coach here?

What would you recommend?
