Is Vernon Carey any good?

We used a 19th overall pick for him and I was wondering if he was a bust or not. I am leaning towards bust considering he was drafted by Dave Wannstedt.

I actually believe he is very good and has great potential. He struggled in his rookie year, and at some points this past year, but he also was a main reason why the O-line improved so much this season. Gus was not sacked at all (exaggerating) for most of the season, and I credit that alot to Carey. Carey, Hadnot, and James are all keepers in my opinion. Mcintosh is just average, and Mckinney has probably already reached his best, and he is average.

Definantly not a bust. Its yet to be seen just how good he will be but he isnt a bust IMO.

Thats a tough call as of right now I would have to say "BUST"

Someone drafted that high is expected to be a play maker and contribute
more than he did but POTENTIAL is a good word and we will know better this year if he was another Wanny bust.

If we pick up Bentley and draft another quality OL this could help him and his play.

I hope he has a great year regardless but one never knows.

it depends if he can stay a starter and make an impact for us....if he keeps up his progress then i say no..but if he stays the same or regresses then yes.

This is probably his make or break year. I dont think he will ever be dominant, as we probably would have seen that by now. However, I do think he is and will be a solid player for years to come. Next year will determine whether he is going to be Pro Bowl calibar.

I see him being a great consistent quality player on our line for many years, just not a pro-bowl all star. I hope he proves me wrong though. :)

Everybody writes off Wade Smith as a bust and mabey he is. However, I have a feeling come next season that we will be hearing his name more and more
