I know Vernon Carey is coming off minor knee surgery, but his play has been nothing short of pathetic. I'm starting to wonder if he is really making any effort out there. Could he be bitter about having to take a drastic pay cut and being moved to RG? If what I am saying is true (and it may be hard to prove) they can't have this type of unprofessionalism in the locker room. If his play does not pick up in practice this week he should be cut before they play another game. The Dolphins NEED to get Shaun O'Hara, Andre Gurode or Leonard Davis in here...TODAY!!!

Carey certainly looks like a fat blob who has zero stamina and can't move his feet. He and John Jerry are twins in that respect.
Long, Incognito, Garner, and Pouncey are the only guys showing effort.
Jerry and Carey are fat and lazy with no motivation.
Colombo is too old, weak and slow.
Murtha has concrete feet and makes too many mistakes.
Berger? He should not be playing. Weak and slow.

I can't think Carey is dogging it, but he looked bad out there last night. He was getting beat like a drum and for a big guy who doesn't look strong at all out there.

Carey was getting abused by smaller guys and bigger guys alike last night. He did look weak for some reason. He had no push in the run game for a guy 340+ pounds.

The whole ****ing o-line is dogging it.
I dont think he's dogging it but I will say the thought came across my mind while watching the game last night......then I remembered he is a FA after this yr and if he wants one more big contract what better way than to be a guy who could play 3 positions on the line at a high level.....hopefully its just him getting into shape after offseason surgery.....same with Columbo.....
how did long made your list when he hasn't play a down this preseaon..but Carey hasn't impress this whole preseason..the right side is definitely the weakest link

He always lacked the drive to reach his potential. He cannot drop weight, always too fat, too lazy too blob like to be anything special.

It's basically as some have said, it's like he isn't really trying. On that play where Henne got blew up (or was it on Bush?), on the replay you could see him looking back with that confused look of "wait wasn't I supposed to block that guy?". He has like no hustle at all to him and it might be injury or just plain disinterest. With Colombo struggling, its very disconcerting to see him doing that. He should have all the talent to be a decent RG at this stage in his career, but there is obviously something up with him.
If he feels disrespected about the pay cut he should have just refused to take it. By refusing the pay cut he could go out on the open market and see if someone else would pay him what he thinks he is worth. instead he goes out on the field and looks to be intentionally stinking it up in effort to get back at the organization. Unfortunately, he is letting down his own teamates who are out there fighting.
