Is Wallace practicing with tannehill right now

Old news from Barry Jackson but..

Wallace, whose 11 dropped passes tied for the NFL’s fourth-most (four fewer than Brandon Marshall), said he will spend only a month away before returning to South Florida in February. He will run on the UM track with Hurricanes track coach Amy Deen, in addition to working with Tannehill and new coordinator Bill Lazor.

again, more assumptions. You dont know if either of your statements is remotely true, yet you say it as if it were already written in stone.

Are you following Wallace around? You dont know that he's NOT working out.
I agree he's overpaid and he doesnt fight for the ball.

He should be doing what ever he can to improve, because he's way way overpaid, he's a one trick pony, can't run routes and is abused at the line.
When the trade rumor started I was very happy, but it was all bull****, Wallace couldn't take one of the hits that Tanny took trying to get the ball to him, we all know he's a great track and field guy, but he isn't a football player.

he is overpaid, but you dont know what he's doing. Just bc he isnt working with RT atm, what gives you the right to deem that he's being a lazy ass doing nothing?

Your problem is you THINK he's just lounging around. You THINK he would rather just chill somewhere. You THINK he doesnt have the drive. And you come to these conclusions because no one stated factually that Wallace was working with them? You dont even really know if he isnt there or not. And if he isn't, you don't know why. So to make rash judgements like this is ridiculous.

Now that being said, I'll say that I believe he isnt there either. But do we know why? No. But to call him out on it makes me laugh. Acting like him being there or not is the make or break of his chemestry RT is ludicris. Once again, this board does EXACTLY what it's good at...making something out of absolutely nothing.

It has been reported by Barry Jackson that WALLACE said he isn't there. Straight from the horses mouth.

He certainly isn't obligated to go catch balls from Tannehill outside of official team activities, but it certainly shows that he isn't committed to solving the chemistry problems he has bitched so much about. People who want to be great at something work at it even when no one is around to see it and when they aren't compensated. Those are the facts. So this little thing, which may not be a big deal to you, shows me that he isn't working toward being GREAT, he is content with being merely good.

Before you write him off at least give him 2 seasons to judge him. He was open a lot. I would like to get him more involved with motion and move him around like they use Harvin. same with wheeler you keep him and see if he gets better. If not cut him. The whole team needs to work on tackling.

Exactly the point. So it seems TANNEHILL needs to practice.

Mike Wallace seems to have his part down.......

Run past defenders, catch the ball(if the QB can get it to him), run into endzone, PROFIT.

Call Mike Wallace when either Tannehill can hit a moving target from 40+ yards or we get a new QB and he will show up. In the meantime, Tannehill should keep practicing.

The problem with your logic is that you can't just bring in some scrub who runs like Mike Wallace. Tannehill needs to get used to hitting Mike Wallace's dynamic speed in stride. Richard Matthews, nor anyone else on the roster, has that skill set. Yes, Tannehill needs the repetitions, but he needs them with Wallace at least as much as he does with any other receiver. And at the risk of "overreacting", I'll join the club calling out Mike Wallace to earn his ridiculous pay cheque by calling time on a mere three month holiday. What an outrageous request...

I'm still wondering how running around in shorts without facing live coverage is supposed to solve chemistry problems.

ok, i agree with the reports. at first i thought that was an assumption too..so that's clear. However, everything else is merely assumptions. Maybe he's working out else where or a million other scenarios. We shouldnt be saying he isnt working towards being GREAT because of a single fact he's not playing catch with RT. Doesnt prove anything.

fact: Tannehill is working with receivers
fact: Wallace is not in attendance
what am I assuming?

I'm not going to make a big deal about Wallace not being there, but the fact that he's not says plenty. Says enough that I don't need to say a damn thing.

Just to play devil's advocate. It is an assumption that Wallace even knows about the workouts Tannehill is conducting with Matthews and others.

Or...Wallace already had his vacation/trip scheduled when Tannehill called to set up the workouts and couldn't be there at this time.

that he's not in attendance bc he's lazy. what if he's working out else where with a trainer or something. RT was working with Weinke last year or something to improve mechanics, how do you know wallace isnt doing something simular?

you guys are acting like if wallace isnt there, he must not be putting any offseason work in. I think it's crap to assume that. That's my position. I would like to see him there too but it's hardly the end of the world.

I think it has more to do with Tannehill adjusting/getting acclimated fully to Wallace's speed. Tannehill already has good timing on his deep ball to Hartline and Gibson. Even Big Ben said it took him a year to adjust to Wallace. Is it a major dilemma he isn't there, no? But in the grandeur scheme of things it sure would help the chemistry between the two if he was. Hell we dont even know if he's there or not. Just last week Omar said Tannehill and his receivers have yet to begin throwing sessions and then in his interview with Matthews this week Matthews said they have been having throwing sessions for weeks. People are also forgetting the Fins off-season workouts begin in just 2 1/2 weeks. Is it really gonna kill this off-season if they dont start their extra throwing sessions until after that week when the new offense is installed? I doubt it and dont really care just as long as they happen.
