If you put any stock into the argument that Ricky quit in part due to the way he was used, then it is partially his fault. I don't excuse Ricky's behavior, but I think it's pretty clear that his relationship with Campbell and his talk with Robert Smith point to that being a factor.

Not his fault AJ sucks and Rick chose him.

To the extent that AJ isn't ready, it is Dave's fault. To the extent that the talent for the game isn't there, it is beyond Dave. Given AJ's 4-1 record with the Eagles, this is at least one that is up for grabs.

Not his fault we didn't address the Oline in the offseason.

BZZZZZZZZZT. This is Dave's fault. Remember that he was the GM before RS took over. RS spent a 1st, a 4th, a 6th, and a 7th on OL. He also brought in St. Clair and McIntosh. What more did you want RS to do?

Not his fault Boston got hurt.
Not his fault L. Chester got hurt.
Not his fault T. Bowens is hurt.
Not his fault R. Konrad is hurt.
Not his fault T. Minor is hurt.

Granted.

Not his fault when people like D. Lee and Feeley continue to turn the ball over.

This varies with each TO. The fact that there are so many speaks to it being his fault for several of them, though.

Not his fault the new Off. Coordinator had a nervous breakdown.

BZZZZZZZZZZZZT. Dave gets to choose his staff, and he choose extremely poorly.

Not his fault the Special Teams have suffered injuries.
Not his fault the Weather has been both bad for practice and games.

Granted.

Overall, he hasn't done nearly enough. It's clear that this is a 6+ win team that is undercoached. It's time for DW to go!

The key is that you have to be able to adjust. Wanny refuses to do so.

He'll run the same offense with the same results week in and week out.

We need an Offensive minded coach that isn't afraid to yell at his players. This team desperatley needs a change in coaching.

He's losing/lost the respect of players, they're not believing in him anymore. That alone makes it a failure. For years Wanny neglected the offense, it's now catching up to him.

When can you remember that the Dolphins came out of the half ready to kick butt and make adjustmenst in there play calling? You would probably have to go back to JJ for and regularity of it at all!

The only responsibility Dave has left right now is coaching, and this is the most poorly coached team in the league.

I have a suggestion

I've been a Wanny supporter, just because I'm always willing to give our guy full backing just to be fair. Now, when you tell your quarterbacks "you're going to compete every game for a starting position", that's ridiculous. The worst thing you can do to a QB is mess with him mentally. Neither of them will be sharp and both will be nervous. And many coaches agree that a QB must be confident, not nervous and limiting himself.
With that noted, if Wann is going to have both compete each game, then do it. Maybe we'll see what happened last year at the Redskins game, when Wannstedt benched Griese and Fiedler saved the day. Who knows. Anywho, if Dave were to resign to be fired, I'd like to see Marino give coaching a shot. He reads defenses well, he's arguably the best to ever play, and he knows how to win games without any other talent around him.

If AJ isnt ready then he sucks. Wanny doesn't really want to play the loser anyway. Upper management i.e. Wayne is making that call. The turnovers are not his fault. PERIOD.

As for making adjustments. Feeley cant even learn the Fing Shotgun in 5 months and you want him to try something different in 15 minutes. Sorry, not logical.

Wannys Oline did produce an 1800+ NFL league leading rushing season and a more than respectable 1400+ yard season.

Ricky didn't just leave because of his mistreatment in the O. People he is living in a tent, a tent. That is a loser.

As for yelling at the players. What are you going to say "you guys suck, Feeley you suck" They should already know that.

Not his fault Ricky is loser.
- im thinking thats the reason why Ricky really quit becuz of Wanny.
Not his fault AJ sucks and Rick chose him.
- But it's his fault for letting him stay on the field.
Not his fault we didn't address the Oline in the offseason.
- Not this offseason but what about last??
Not his fault Boston got hurt.
- I agree, its not the coaches fault for players that go down with an injury, but who's to say we wouldve done better with any of these guys healthy??
Not his fault L. Chester got hurt. - (read post above)
Not his fault T. Bowens is hurt. - " " "
Not his fault R. Konrad is hurt. - " " "
Not his fault T. Minor is hurt.
- Even when healthy there wasnt much of a diffrence.
Not his fault when people like D. Lee and Feeley continue to turn the ball over.
- Isnt he the one who drafted Lee???
Not his fault the new Off. Coordinator had a nervous breakdown.
- As a coach shouldnt he help out if one of his coaches has a nervous breakdown.
Not his fault the Special Teams have suffered injuries
- Injuries have nothing to do with our ST poor performance, its the lack of preparation thats killing us.
Not his fault the Weather has been both bad for practice and games.
- I agree, however it goes both ways, both teams are playing in the same weather and if anything it should be an advantage to us practicing in bad weather, that way come gametime we're used to it...

As easy as it is to not want to blame Wanny, its easy to blame him....It doesnt take a genuis to figure out it's his fault this team is now going downhill....While we're on the subject, why dont you tell me what he has done since he's been here?? I'll give you a hint: nothing but patch holes or replace this team with bandaids.

Puh-Leeze!

Not his fault???? Who is the Leader of this team? Who is THE BOSS of this team? Who had consecutive 4-12 seasons before he mystyriously got this job? Who is responsible for hiring the assistant coaches? Who has final say in who should start? Who was the gm/coach and in total control for the last 4 years? Who is given control and trust and a rich contract from the owner? And who is ultimately responsible when it all comes crashing down? Who does the owner look to when he sees the final result of his product??? You tell me buddy.....all dolphins fans.......please tell ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Ill say it again. If you believe Wanny chose AJ you are crazy. Someone from the top has made it clear that they want AJ throwing Interceptions and Fumbling. So, Wanny is forced to keep him in there or be fired. Either way he is going to be fired, but I wish he would go down doing what everyone knows is right. PLAY JAY

I really wish that you'd either offer some sort of proof that you're right about the call to start AJ coming from above before you start calling people crazy...

It is all his fault. The injuries are due to neglect(boston felt pain, they did nothing), bad luck or poor conditioning. The only one of those that you can say isnt his fault is the bad luck.
I still like spielman, he made good choices for the position he was thrown into.
Ricky leaving I now believe was because of dave. Feely not being ready is due to the lack of actual practice time with the first stringers and lack of a decent scheme. The turnovers are a coaching problem too, there is a reason some teams excel in holding onto the ball, its not just luck. Our o-line is terrible due to dave's neglect for the past 4 years and tony wise's lack of coaching (daves guy). The special teams has been terrible due to Armstrong (a personal friend of dave, which is why he is still here).

Trying to pin this on someone besides Dave is absurd.
