Is Will Allen a free agent after this year?

I was wondering because then the pick of Sean Smith makes a lot more sense. You basically would have your future corners and next off season you could concrete on some others area instead of trying to sign an aging veteran.
 
Yes, this is Will Allen's last year under contract. He will be 31 years old after this season and will likely be looking for that one last big pay check. Vontae Davis is likely looked at as the player who could win the starting job over Green and Jason Allen opposite Will Allen. Sean Smith is a guy they can use during the season and groom to become a future starter.

I highly doubt Will Allen is back after this season. We already have his replacement on the roster.

I agree I don't think we resign him. He will start opposite V. Davis but I think S. Smith will take over next year.

I thought so, I wasn't sure. Then the pick defintely makes sense. Basically we drafted two of the best corners in the draft imo. Most likely both were in everyone's top 5 to say the least. I think I would be shocked if Green beat out Davis come sept. Green is nothing more then depth and a bum, there is no way he beats out Vontae. :hi5:
