I don't think he gets talked about enough on a national level. All I hear is Ramsey this and Ramsey that. Rightfully so, but our guy deserves some love.

Ramsey is elite, don't get me wrong. Maybe this thread is way off but I'm not as knowledgeable as some when it comes to other teams talent.

My question: where do you rank Xavien Howard amongst other elite CBs?

I cant say I’ve paid a ton of attention to other cb’s around the league but X is playing at a really high level. Probably All Pro. Sooo maybe top 10? Top 5?

Think it's a little too early to say that, but he's certainly well on his way.

Hes definitely is very underrated though. I know Madden ratings are worthless, but they are a decent snapshot of the national feeling on how good a player is. As of last week he was a 76 overall, 4 points lower than Bobby McCain. That's just insanity.

I think he's in the discussion based on the 2nd half of last year and his start this year. Top CBs would likely include Peterson from AZ, Peters from Rams (was Chiefs and now hurt), Ramsey from Jags, Rhodes from Vikes. Elites that I think are on the downhill...Talib from Rams (was Broncos), Sherman from 49rs (was Seahawks)

Hard to rate them really. Many things to consider. Some corners benefit from having a great pass rush in front of them. Some benefit from having great safeties to work with. Howard is playing at a top level so far but lets wait and see what happens. It's better to stay humble. The main this is for him to help us win games and he's really done that so far.

7 interceptions in the last 8 games and completely taking out 2 of the games better WR's; I would think, would get him recognized by now. But it hasn't and to be honest, I like it that way. He's flying under the radar, just like the team. Howard has developed beyond expectations. I've been hoping for something like this to happen to one of our own. Since JT retired there hasn't been much, in terms of the player development of Miami's own. There have been players like Vernon, Miller and others you've developed, but not like we've seen with Howard and potentially Fitzpatrick, as well as, Tunsil.

X. Howard now leads the league in INTs. He is getting recognized.

On form he's got to be right up there.
I can see why Cleveland used the 4th pick on Ward, looks like he'll be a good one

Derek Carr went on about Howard in a pregame press conference saying “#25 doesn’t get enough credit; he’s a really good player, etc.”

Then he throws at him in a one-on-one jump ball situation on the most important play of the game for the Raiders offense. LOL.

Lol, Carr was trying to help X out

We'd be much better off if everyone else viewed him as being as good as his Madden score supposedly is.
