I keep seeing all this stuff once again about how Rome is burning.

I read in countless places that this game, despite how well we were playing, many still had it as a pretty good spot to place a loss.

Now that the game is over and a loss is in fact what resulted, it's like everyone was expecting us to totally go out there and dominate with a short week on the road. This was a growing game. To wash away what we had done the previous two weeks is amazing. I don't really care who it was against, we still dominated those games and got the wins as we should have. However, to read that we shouldn't be happy about those games because they were against bad teams, only to return and get p***** o** for losing to the undefeated Patriots during a short week on the road is asinine.

I went into this game hoping that the Dolphins could keep the momentum and put up a fight. Nothing more, nothing less. Many had also stated that losing this game really doesn't kill your chances at a post season either. A loss hurts but it isn't the killshot.

In all honesty, this here is probably a good thing. It will now let us know how Campbell is going to respond, get the guys to respond, and be ready for next weeks game against the Bills.

Criticize me as you will, but I can't really blame the players tonight. We had written a strong formula the past two weeks in running the ball. We went back to being a one-dimensional offense again last night and saw what we saw the first few games of the season against a really good team in New England.

The formula has been written, I blame the offensive coordinators for not continuing to roll with it...

I don't know how many people actually thought we'd go in there and win... But Nobody expected a 30 point loss.

If the team had hung in there and kept it close or at least respectable, there wouldn't be so much doom and gloom.

We got our asses kicked.

The loss itself wasn't devastating. But the injuries were (Cam Wake, DeVante Parker, Ja'wuan James). Cam Wake may have seen his last game with the Dolphins. That's crushing. DeVante Parker keeps injuring his left foot, again & again. This is worrisome. And our shaky o-line just got worse.

You're right, but people around here got carried away blaming Philbin for everything and putting Campbell on a pedestal. The reality is, our problems are not going to be fixed in two weeks by a rookie head coach and some new signs in the locker room. It'll be interesting to see how this team now responds to adversity. And it'll be even more interesting to see the fans respond to the same.

I think art of me still wanted to know was it Joe that was Bad or was it Joe and the players. I wanted to believe it was just Joe (like I'm sure all of us did), but reality is it's the players too. Like someone else said, it's not getting beat but how they got beat, which simply seems to be the way this team is.

Defense put up a fight, offense thought the game was Sunday. 10 days till buffalo, let's be ready to take those b*tches

No, this wasn't what I expected. I figured we'd lose but I fully expected us to at least be competitive. I was hopeful we'd win but I wouldn't be as disappointed if we didn't get our blown out. Again I expected a competitive loss

I thing I am so thankful for though, is I get my Sunday back and can enjoy football and whatever else I decide to do.

The loss was expected. Never expected us to win, on a short week, at New England, ever.

These Thursday games are horrible and the injuries are devestating. The toe injury can keep James out for a long while. Wake could be done for us...for good. And Parker looks to be a lemon. Horrible.

We will get back on track in 10 days but these losses hurt. Hopefully Hazel will get some playing time now.

Sure, continuing to lose to the Patriots is acceptable. Being 0-3 in the AFC East is no problem. Being relatively uncompetitive in all three games is nothing to worry about. Everything is awesome.

He few plays I saw Parker in he looked so slow running. I didn't any burst of speed whatsoever

The Defense played great IMO. They had some tough catches, unlucky plays on 3rd and longs. Some holding calls too.

I think of that game was at 1pm on Sunday then the outcome might have been different. We might still lose but I think it would have been more competitive. To ask this team to travel on a short week into that arena was to big of a task. Thursday night games are the worst if you are the road team. You have to think that the road team gets basically 1 day of practice while the home team gets 2-3. Just is a tall task to overcome when playing a team like New England at their home.

I swear dolphin fans are some of the most idiotic people. If you do not agree with this post then you fall in that categorie. I've never seen so many people and I'm not talking about just on this site. Have a change of emotion about a team. Our fans never look at the big picture. Which is we are an 8-8 team and no where near the caliber of the Patriots. Just cause we signed suh, I fee people expect us to win the division because of the hype. Besides bolstering our DL, was really the answer. we fixed a hole and no other problems in the offseason. Our OL which has been a problem for years continues to go un addressed and is the Achilles heal on this team. 5 sacks last night people. Our secondary and LB play is still an issue and that never gets addressed. I never once though we were more than an 8-8 team and again and it looks like I am going to be proven right. Nobody should get emotional and mad about this team. When your franchise has been this bad for so long there should be ZERO expectations going into each season.

What you are describing is someone who IS NOT a fan. Why bother being a fan of you expect nothing every season. Kind of a waste of time to follow a team you don't care about or expect anything from, wouldn't you agree...

I don't know what game you were watching but NE's D line was abusing our Oline. Continuing to run would have served no purpose.Vince Lombardi couldn't have coached the Fins to a win last night.
