I am in no way defending IreFail. He is ultimately responsible..... And his decisions have been horrible. But our draft boards are based on grades developed by our scouting staff. Unless IreFail is completely disregarding their grades, this scouting staff is without doubt culpable. Ross has to blow this thing up from top to bottom.
 
I have been thinking this for awhile but I blame the position coaches and assistants because this team is very good at NOT progressing players. I've been highly devoted since 1988 and a fan since 84 and the huge 1000 lb gorilla is the fact that we could never attract productive free agents with longevity and we could never coach the rookies up to be viable consistently. This is especially true in the last decade. It's pathetic.
 
I disagree, I think it's all coaching and the coordinators. We have shown that talent is there in many games going back to last year. But the preparation and game management is horrible. Our o-line suck, what is the point of making Ryan stay in the pocket? To teach him to be a pocket passer? If the man can get 15 yards by running, you let the man run the 15 yards. Having Ryan run will stop so much pressure on the pocket and force teams to keep a spy from rushing to watch him.
It's all a big mess, and someone HAS to pay at season's end if not before.
 
But honestly, our drafts have been horrible. How many fans of other teams look at our drafts and say I wish we could have gotten that guy. Not too many. Maybe 3 or 4. Jones, Odrick, Hartline, .......ummmmm......... I'm done.
 
Its 10:24 am on Tuesday after all this **** and they still not fired. WTF
 
how many bad drafts have we had the past 15 years? 14?? maybe, just maybe we havent had a competent gm who can scout talent in decades? it all boils down to the draft. look at this years class and if you dont get sick to your stomach youre not a dolphin fan. 5 picks in the 1st 3 rounds and what do we have to show for it? a 3rd overall pick who looks like a bust, 2 cb's who cant see the filed even though we have carroll and wilson playing major roles and a g/t who hasnt suited up for a single game. that sums up this franchise over the past 20 years.

You just made my point for me. What is this scouting staff reporting to IreFail? How highly rated were these guys? Did IreFail go off the board? The scouting staff sucks if he didn't.
 
We don't know what the scouting staff is reporting to the decision maker.
