A month ago, Rosenfels had trouble simply jogging 10 minutes on a treadmill, his energy depleted by a blood infection that required three hospital stays in August and September when he was a member of the New York Giants. Any lingering effects?

“I’m not in the type of shape I’d like to be, but we all knew that would be the case,” he said. “I haven’t practiced since the middle of training camp and preseason. I’ve got a lot of work to do.”

The condition began with strep throat. “After a while, it started to hit me that I had something pretty serious. It was frustrating that it wasn’t clearing up, and I wasn’t improving like I normally have my entire life.”

One of the challenges, he said, is “this is one offense I don’t know. I’ve had a lot of coordinators, but I haven’t had Brian Daboll’s style of offense. It’s not like baseball, where you show up and play third base. Quarterbacks, you have to know everything: the line calls with the runs, the audible system. There’s a huge amount of information you have to learn.”

Activate PD, let him get some repetitions and callouses holding the clipboard for a few weeks.

I think we'll be just fine with Bess in at QB.

Why not see what they have with Pat Devlin as opposed to bringing in a career back up. This front office gets dumber and dumber the longer they are allowed to stay around. They are so lucky I am not the owner. I would have fired Sparano in the middle of the game, and Ireland during the free agency period.

If he's really doing that poorly, we should have promoted Devlin.

While Sage is smart and will be fine, the FO should have signed someone IMMEDIATELY upon Henne getting hurt. They blew 3 days of practice fiddling around over money and waiting for Chad's MRI to come in. STUPID.

I called in a thread "Roster Neglect".

dont worry PD will be activated in special emergency call which i think this year is available if moore goes down ...then Sage...and they need another backup PD lol

Sage will help us get Luck. All in due thyme.

I would have cracked the heck up to hear one of the moron announcers say "It looks like Mr. Day, the Dolphins owner, is headed down the sidelines and he looks very unhappy at Coach Sparano for fistpumping another fieldgoal with the Dolphins down 41-9. Wait a minute, he is screaming at the coach and - OH MY GOD - physically throwing him out of the stadium! I have never seen such a complete meltdown during a game as this. What an outrage! What is that sound? The fans here in Miami are actually cheering and chanting 'Mr. Day, Mr. Day, Mr. Day!'"
