The answer is MADDOX, Roethlisberger was nothing when he finished college, but now that he made to the playoffs in his first season with 15 -1 and won a superbowl in his second season, he has said several times that MADDOX has been his teacher and if wouldnt be for him he would be nothing, so why do you want Kerry Collins a mediocre QB that didn't make good plays with his WR Moss and has been a bad-numbered QB with no leadership or Harrington not proving leadership or talent in the NFL while MADDOX has proved that he has experience, talent, leadership, knows how to teach young QB's and has always been an excellent QB except for the last 2 seasons, the first one he was injured and the second one he was a replacement due his injury and Roethlisberger's previous incredible 15 - 1 season, so check the numbers, check the factors and think it again before arguing...

ALSO, there are more teams interested in Harrington that will give players or round picks for him and Collins is in the target for at least other 5 teams...

SO be realistic and check progresivity again, PLEASE!!!!

As we know, we are excluding Daunte from this thread thats why it says "BACKUP QB", if Daunte would be healthy we wouldnt need a backup...

postermaster, you do in fact have the right to support Maddox as you wish, but did you not watch last season at all when he was filling in for an injured Big Ben? The man was horrible, and he had a Superbowl winning supporting cast around him, no excuses...At least with Collins and Harrington we knew that they had no protection and a lackluster team as a whole...

You have gatta be out your mind.Maddox over Collins???????UHH?????
You were joking ,right?

I have several friends who are BIG Steelers fans and they all say Maddox SUCKS!! They watch every game so I think I take their word for it. GIMMIE COLLINS!!! The dude has been in 2 Championship games and 1 Superbowl. What has Maddox ever done except hold a clipboard in a big game?

Maddox over Collins/Harrington is like taking a Geo Metro with a blown Head Gasket over a Lambourghini Diablo with a 100 year 1,000,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.

First of all, the last two seasons are kind of important, given that he is going to turn ninety-eight during next season.

Secondly, his CAREER qb rating is 72. That is hardly "excellent". In fact it is "bad".

In his career the man has thrown MORE INTERCEPTIONS THAN TOUCHDOWNS.

In some way Im in agrrement with you but, you have to understand that he just played a few quarters last season and he is coming from a hard injury that only time and practice could make him a good QB again...

great prospect for me, I think...
