We were doing fine with FA, Orton does not sign and the bottom drops out. The next best moves are to bring in Marco Columbo and JT, are you kidding me? I am actually happy that Ireland did not over pay for Orton. I guess these guys just cannot help themselves. They have to find some way to screw it up.

Come on guys.... Columbo and JT ain't gunna help sell tix. They were brought in bc they were cheap but still valuable players to be backups. They both add great depth to our o line and d line which are as deep as I've seen in years

what the heck are you talking about? i agree that it was a good thing we didn't overpay for orton, but how in the world do any fringe free agent signings (fields, colombo, jt) equal "screwing it up"? honestly! depth signings are just that, depth signings. you know ireland likes to churn the bottom third of the roster. how in the world does signing fringe depth players in free agency equate to the "bottom dropping out" or screwing anything up? wtf.

I think the frustration is there because many of us feel the team could use a better QB, #2 WR and an insurance policy to oft injured Reggie Bush and a rookie. But hey, we could have 7 or 8 legit defensive lineman on the field.

Im so frustrated. We have PLAYOFF caliber units all over the field with the exception of QB. I cant get excited about any signings because our lack of a QB will end up killing us. I say overpay for Orton, give him what he wants. Regardless of the posts, Orton would absolutely upgrade our QB situation. He is 28 years old, OVER PAY for him. Its a QB driven league. We are a real threat with a valid QB...****!

This regime is pretty dead set on winning in the trenches. Our D-Line is disgustingly deep. That's a real advantage as it keeps a run first offense from being able to wear down our line because we can easily rotate our front 7 in and out to make sure they are fresh late in games.

And last year showed us that we needed to improve our O-line depth, and frankly, I think Colombo is better than McQuistan. And if Shaun O'Hara signs, we're in even better shape.

I wanted an upgrade from Henne too. But I'm glad we didn't panic and overspend on Orton. I would like another WR, perhaps Braylon Edwards, but I'm not dissatisfied with what we have.

Ahmad Bradshaw just signed a 4 year deal worth $18 million with $9 million guaranteed.

ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING ME?!?

You TRADE for a guy that has never been a good runner, and pay him $5 million per year...when Ahmad Bradshaw is out there and ends up with $4.5 million a ****ing year? ARE YOU ****ING RETARDED?!?!

I do understand the QB frustration I really do . . . I just really thought about it and realized that the absolute WORSE thing we can do at this juncture is to give up picks and extend an average QB . . . it just isn't healthy for the short term future of this team, let alone the long term. If people REALLY want to see change, they should hope Miami keeps there first and 2nd day picks in 2012 and watch Henne sink or swim. If he swims, we may have our QB already . . . if he sinks, then the CHANGES people are crying about will happen. Kyle Orton will bring the same dissappointments we have seen the last decade.

Damn the market really dried up after the first 2 days, especially for running backs . . . Deangelo is lucky he got his early, he wouldn't have got that same contract today either, though Carolina was paying everybody so who knows.

Bradshaw wasn't coming to the Fins for that money and they passed and sought other options, and after about a week, Bradshaw realized he had to lower his demands . . . the Fins had moved on. When the Fins got Reggie, I can guarantee they couldn't get Bradshaw for that price. Maybe double at the time.

You all are forgetting a key thing here. I've been told so it must be true, that reggie bush is such a presence on the meeting room chalkboard that him alone makes a tight end and quarterback a non need because teams will be scared to play us because of his immense talents.
