Look at the break down here:

Our RBs ran:

29 times vs the Broncos - Win!!
16 times vs the Jets - Loss
28 times vs the Panthers - WIN!!
19 times vs the Bills - Loss
14 times vs the Bucs - Loss
14 times vs the Chiefs - Loss

How hard is it to understand that if we run the football, we win games?

The proof is right there.

well it's not as simple as......."Run the ball and we will win" but it definitely gives us a better chance of winning I think. Not only are we a better running team than a passing team right now(Ronnie Brown is a 100x better RB than Frerotte is a QB) but you run the ball, and run the clock, you run the clock, you give your defense much needed rest, and wear the opposing defense out. The main reason I don't understand so few running plays being called is it's not like we can't run the ball, last year it was much much tougher, and we should have been passing this much, but this year we have enough talent to where we can grind it out.

In each of our losses, the opposing team took the opening
kick-off and drove down the field and scored a TD.
We've started down by 7 in ea. of ours loses ,this has to
stop,so we can run the ball more not feeling like a 3 and out
will kill us or put us behind more,in effect ,in my mind
causing more "got to catch-up" passes.

we have to be more balanced than we have in the games we have lost, we have been pass heavy lately which isn't good if you don't have the right QB. Look for Brown and Williams to combine for 30 carries this weekend and we will get a win

I hope you're right...I have a feeling this is going to be the Gus Show with Linehan and Saban trying to prove that they didn't make a mistake by keeping him in.

its never that simple.

EDIT: you can not just say "if we run X number of times, we will win", or "if brown gains 100 yards we win". it doesnt work that way.

your OC has shown he does not want a ballanced offense. thats just the way he is.

EDIT: your OC needs to commit to a ballanced offense. but thats not his gameplan, and if i rememebr correctly, it never has been. yall signed him knowing what he does.

if it was, then the first 30 plays would all be run plays.

it is misleading because when you have a lead you run more. your OC has shown he does not want a ballanced offense. thats just the way he is.

Lets not be stupid here.

We want balance. The stats I listed above is in support of us running it more...not to run PERIOD. Damn, why do people always have a need for common sense stuff to be spelled out to them?

I'll repost this:

when wannstedt was around, so many people here criticized him for just lining up and pounding the ball or running whatever play regardless of how feeble the attempt was because the defense wasn't giving us that look that we needed for the play to work. O.J. McDuffie, for one, recalled how the Wannstedt regime wouldn't call plays that favored our guys when it came to matchups.

the new OC likes the pass. that's obvious. i still don't think we'd be winning games with our running game. it honestly hurts when you have negative total yards running anywhere but behind the LT-LG combination. should i copy and paste the play-by-play?

here are a few running plays that were drive killers just last week:
(:13) R.Williams right tackle to MIA 16 for -3 yards (J.Allen).
(12:14) R.Williams right end to MIA 46 for -2 yards (P.Surtain).
(11:38) R.Williams left tackle to MIA 43 for -3 yards (J.Browning).
(9:14) R.Brown left tackle to KC 2 for 8 yards (E.Warfield).
PENALTY on MIA-D.McIntosh, Offensive Holding, 10 yards, enforced at KC 10 - No Play.
(13:19) R.Brown right tackle to MIA 36 for no gain (E.Hicks).

also, keep in mind that KC was ranked 30th in defending the pass before last week.

and FFS did you think... did you think just for a second, that we might be running the ball late in those games when we're winning to take time off the clock? we ran the ball 17 times in the 2nd half of the panthers game. we ran the ball 20 times in the 2nd half of the denver game. we haven't had the luxury of running the ball and spending the clock late in the game in all of the losses.

take out ronnie's long run in the chiefs game, and we amounted a whopping 2.2 ypc for the rest of the game. but you want double the carries. so we'd have 28 carries for 58 yards for most of the game. we might spring a long one (i'm aware that the possibility of a long run, even though it goes against EVERYTHING this running game stands for, should always be factored in), but how pathetic is that running game that we manage 2.2ypc except for 1 play a game?

we have to pass more, we have to spread out the defenses to get 8-9 guys off of the line. it's not going to be easy, but our passing game has to get it done before our running game can succeed. god knows, the opportunities have been there.

who said anything about only running. it was said in a sarcastic way, to show you can not just say... "when we run the ball X times we always win".

and i stand by what i said after that, your OC does not run a ballanced offense. he runs a pass first, pass second, and throw in a run play here and there, kind of offense.

Ahhh, but you can't do that.

Lets do this, take out Ronnie's 65 yard run and then look at his average for the Chiefs game...4.2 yards per carry.

Obviously this tells you Ronnie should get the ball more and who should be sitting on the bench watching.

I like Linehan's offense but we don't have the QB to make it work. In his offense he wants to run 15-20 times total and pass around 30-35 times a game
