It looks like Feeley might get cut!

Wherever A.J ends up I hope he can live up to his potential and prove himself as a starter. I don't see that happening in Miami.

I don't think the QB's on the roster are anything special, or even good for that matter, but what does it say about AJ if he can't beat them out? I would think if Feeley gets cut it is because Saban thinks he can upgrade the 3rd string Qb. To be the 3rd string Qb on the Phins roster is absolutely pathetic, the guy couldn't beat out Gus or Sage. Your comments earlier about players being cut, the NFL is a business, and guys get cut all the time, whether they deserve it or not.
 
Nick is ****y and frankly he hasn't doen anything to have the ego he has the ol'e ballcoach was ****y when he came into the nfl to and look where he ended up! At SC of all places!

Look I like AJ, but if he goes and does it somewhere else, then why couldnt he here? Same argument I gave for those that cry we let Griese go. Its great he looks good w/ TB, but he did squat here. No not all his fault but he showed nothing. It foesnt matter what you did elsewhere, if you want to stay here, you've got play here. AJ was given teh chance to show he could be the guy and he choked, for whatever reason, he choked. I am sorry he did, but he had teh chance and did nothing with it. I am not saying I want to cut him, I am saying if that is Nick's choice, then move on with the guys we have and hope for the best.
 
The Nfl is a business but the dolphins have always been a family and have been one of the if not the most loyal team to they're players and likewise this just signals a guy who will come in and do what he wants and if eh wins he looks like a genious if he doesn't he will just go get another big payday in college!

You assume Feeley's demotion was due to the INT. Perhaps it was his completion percentage in that game. Or, perhaps it had very little to do with the last preseason game at all...maybe it was mostly due to Feeley's performance in practice. We get to see an individual player perform for maybe 10-15 minutes of actual playing time once a week in preseason games. The coaches see them for a few hours every day in practice. Who do you think has had a better opportunity to evaluate the players?

Sometimes guys are cut to end teh controversy, so that the players they are going with dont look over their shoulder. Many reasons why someone is cut. Better chemistry, better options, fresh start, etc.. It doesnt mean Saban doesnt think Aj cannot be the backup, rather it is better for teh team as a whole if he indeed does cut him.

I did not love mustachio, but he did make some tough calls. He dropped Huard without another proven backup. He cut Daryl Gardner, and Daryl was a stud at the time.

Then again, maybe Saban cuts him because he knows AJ has nothing to offer this team.

while I can see what you're saying to a point...this is no different that what the great Jimmy Johnson did when he came here. It's also what MOST coaches do when they come into a new situation that was honestly VERY bad last season.

Just as a side note, It was Jimmy Johnson who was running Marino out of town. He pressured him the last 2 years he coached and then chickened out, and forced his "friend" to finally cut Dan. I know that doens't have anything to do with anything but I like to bash JJ whenever I can. :D
 
If we release him, what are the chances of Buff, NE,jets looking at him?? (would give them a glimps into our playbook).
 
Its not about like, I just feel like we have done a diservice to AJ in bringing him in here jerking him around last year letting him later get killed by our offensive o-line bringing in a new coach who says last year doesn't matter yet ties his hands in the comp and openely makes excuses for "his" guy his by meaning linehans then he throws one pick in the last preseason game which everyone says doesn'y matter NIck again makes excuses for the dirt infield when a couple weeks ago he was saying the dirt didn't matter come on guys wtf the writing has been on the wall and I wouldn't be suprised if when Aj got the news about the deomtion if he freaked and asked to get cut!
 
I still think he should be starting over Gus. Kind of funny, he goes out in that last preseason game against the Falcons I think most people would have wanted him to start. He has a crappy game and he is cut. So from starter to cut on one game? Looks like we'll find out what Sage can do, because Gus wont last the whole season.

Let them try it. Fortunately for us, everything he would say would start with, "now wait until the QB locks onto and stares down his receiver", which isn't something that applies to Frerotte. :)
