"Interestingly, Saban made it clear that the coaches will learn the “Dolphins system†and not the other way around. This is clearly a player-friendly system and Saban doesn’t want his team to take a step back after coming on strong late this past season. According to Saban, the new coaches will run the same systems and use the same terminology."

from PFW

I guess Murlaky will be calling plays from Liehan playbook..

"On what Mularkey is going to do with the offense) – “It's not, this offense we have is really the Miami Dolphins offense and I don't think anybody should lose sight of that. I think that everybody that sits in the room on our staff has made a contribution to building that offense. We have built it from the ground up, in terms of the language that we use and that's not something we want to change for the players. Every offensive coach I've ever hired, I've always let them use their terminology and every defensive coach I've hired, I've adjusted to what they do. So, if we're not smart enough as coaches to learn the terminology we need to let the players have success, which is the key to the drill, then we're not the kind of teachers we need to be in terms of what we have to do. I'm totally comfortable with and confident that we will be able to do that. We have a lot of continuity on our staff, we're going to have a lot of continuity with our players and Mike is very capable. He has been in a lot of different systems. I think the advent of how I like to do things is from the old Pittsburgh Steelers tree with George Perles, who was certainly a mentor of mine in terms of my development."

Good news......

thats not good news... :shakeno:

ITS GREAT NEWS!!!! :D

Wait, I thought it was great news that you were getting the Steelers style of offense.

I bet if Saban came out and said they will play without Offensive Lineman, everyone would say great, he is always a step ahead of everyone.

Fair enough. I cant argue, Jauron doesnt have a great track record in terms of wins, but he is a respected man, unlike Mularkey. Levy is also.

Plus, Im not really talking smack about Nick Saban, its more about how much press he is getting and the Fans that think he can do no wrong.

I think Saban is a great coach, but great coaches have failed. Parcells is watching the playoffs for the 2nd straight year.

Also, the age thing with Marv is dumb, he is as sharp as anyone, in most cases sharper. I dont see a single difference in him now then when we hired him back in 1986.

I wish you guys good luck. I would love nothing more then to have every team in the AFC east competitive so we can build up the rivalries again.

I never wanted to change offensive systems... I thought it would make our team take a step backwards. By staying in the same system, it allows our team to build on our offensive success...

Marv's only problem is that he wears diapers.

Same playbook but better use of the playbook. I dont think there was anything wrong with the playbook itself just the way it was used.
