I've seen a few others as well. I guess this shows that it's obvious to several people outside of the organization that we would love to have this guy. My biggest concern is that he may get too much hype to drop to us. Do you guys think we have a shot?

Also, just a legit question: what happened to all the people on the board that wanted Omar Jacobs? I haven't had a chance to follow Jacobs, so I was just wondering if his numbers fell off or something?

Go Phins in 06

Jacobs got hurt.

As for Cutler...I don't think we get a shot at him. If he goes lights out at the combine he could move up the board even higher.

I'm beginning to think he goes top 10 for sure.

Some even have him going ahead of us, to the Cards. But they really don't know much more then we do at this point.

Yeah, I've seen a few mocks with him wayyyy up there, and top team most likely to steal him according to mocks seems to be Baltimore. I dont have a link, but saw a few. Sorry for that. Understandable with Boller blowing.

We can only hope. But I think he'll be gone by then as well.

I really don't think that Jay Cutler is gunna be a Good NFL QB. Then again he did not have the Best team around him. The one thing that I don't like is he made horrible decisions at times and that kills your team. The one play I look at the most is a 2 yard pass picked off by Reggie Lewis of the Gators in the 2nd OT. The guy was double covered and he threw it 2 yards and got it picked!

Hello Everyone!

Because the staff at FinHeaven is always looking for better ways to organize, and streamline the site, we've decided to re-structure a portion of it.
You'll notice that what was once the College| Draft Forum has now been split.
We've renamed the original forum to simply "College Football" and created a new forum called "Draft Forum". We are now in the process of moving threads around so that they are in the appropriate forums.
We've also created a new sub-forum within the General NFL forum, called "Free Agents".
We ask that you keep these forums in mind when posting, as we'd like to continue keeping the main Dolphins forum uncluttered, and pertaining to the current Dolphins team.

When posting, please keep these guidelines in mind:

Miami Dolphins - Please keeps threads related to current Dolphins players/staff etc here

College Football - Please keep threads related to current college teams/players/games here

Draft Forum - Please keep mock drafts/draft wish lists/potential draft picks, etc in here.

Free Agents - Please keep discussions about potential free agents here.

We realize that this may mean an adjustment for everyone, but we feel that in the long run it will make things easier for all of us. Not only will it make it "cleaner" and uncluttered in the main forum, but it will also make it easier to find the FA discussions, mock drafts etc...

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact the Staff either by PM or by posting in the Questions and Comments forum.

Thanks in advance for your anticipated cooperation, and we look forward to an active offseason of improving our Dolphins through free agency and the draft, and an exciting 2006 football season!

The fact that he kept VANDERBILT in that game says an awful lot. He single-handedly kept Vandy in the game, it wasn't the defense and it certainly wasn't the rest of the offensive players. Florida was, and still is, a much better team. They were big favorites at home and yet Cutler managed to stay in it. He made some mistakes but he more than made up for it.

I think he will be a great NFL Qb, i also dont see it being for us. He will be out of our reach i think. This makes me nervous, as our chances of getting a good Qb in the draft wont be good given the value at our picks. With Carr likely to be back at Houston and Culpepper likely to be back at Minny, what in the world do we do?

The fact that they were in the 2nd OT in the Swamp says enough. Not to mention Lewis got a great break on that ball.

Problem with Cutler is simple.

Saban will only take a guy that he feels VERY solid in believing that he can be our franchise QB otherwise he'll use the pick on another area.

If Cutler doesn't grade out good enough for Arizona or Detroit to take considering their respective needs for QB then there is no way he grades out well enough for Saban to take him at #16.

QB is different then other positions in that respect. Obviously I know guys go mid to late 1st all the time but I think there is so much value this year at #16 that Saban wouldn't gamble on a pick and if a guy doesn't grade out high enough for two QB starved teams to take him around the 10th pick

I also don't think we'll get a chance to get him cos he'll be gone top 10.But lets just say that the Texans do take Young, then they'll have to let Carr go...they can't give him an 8mill bonus plus afford Young too. That's our chance to get Carr.I think he can still be a great QB with the talent he'll have with us.Then in the draft you can get a LT and all defence after that.

Ozzy rules!!
