Those that support Culpepper and those that support the Dolphins. I have read a few posts that attempt to understand both sides of the situation. Miami really has had a rough spell of it with trading for quarterbacks since Marino. It stings more that once again a second round pick appears squandered. So I can understand that sting when the idea of release is mentioned.
With Culpepper, his situation has been mishandled from the beginning, and Saban is likely just a part of the bigger picture with that. Culpepper very well may have to assume some personal responsibility in that as well, but one could argue the victom position as well. And while I understand the team position, you can not help but understand that this is awkward, unfair to an extent, and I do have a hard time with the way his situation was handled at the practice in which the team was told of his participation or lack there of. That could have been handled a little differently, but I guess that was the most efficient manner to inform everyone on the team (although pretty insensitive to Duante). Duante should not have been told for the first time of this expectation in front of 90 plus people. That was a little on the classless side. What we do not know is whether this had been communicated and ignored by him before the practice.
All in all, it is just another distraction on a team that can not afford distractions, but rather must focus on righting the ship. There are clearly two losers in this situation.
