Maybe it was cause I had been drinking or perhaps the fact I was mad the game was going to be canceled but it seemed like everytime Nat Moore had something good to say about Marino..Griese had something negative to say.

I can't mention how many times Griese had to almost rub it in Dans face about no ring. It almost sounded like Griese was a little jealous. Was it only me or did anyone else catch that kind of attitude?

You mean like Boomer? Talk about Jealousy......:shakeno:

I have always thought that Greise was a bit of an arrogant a$$! I love him because he was a 'Fin but have never liked his attitude.

I thought he acted like a total a**wipe, talking about his ring and Dan not having one, but hey he at least gave him his props about all the records he has.

He is only trying to be funny in an sarcastic way but it doesnt always come out that way.He did the same thing during the ceremony to retire Marinos number.

I wish he would stick to straight commentary.A comic he is not.

The game was delayed for an hour, people! He and Nat Moore had to say stupid things to keep people entertained, and a discussion over who was a better QB did just that. I'm sure Griese isn't jealous of Marino or any other ridiculous thing like that.

I loved it when Griese asked if you got a ring for losing the super bowl and Nat Moore said "you have one!"

Exactly right. Younger posters who don't remember Griese from his playing days won't be as familiar with his personality. He tries to deadpan humor but it doesn't always click. At the end of the telecast Griese said with a little grin, "I hear Tampa Bay has a great looking QB."

You could tell Griese and Marino were awkward and somewhat uncomfortable with the ring-no ring question, but it's a natural topic and no chance Griese would have mentioned it if he and Marino weren't on good terms and hadn't talked about it previously.

I think Nat Moore is improving as an analyst. He still botches names like Travis McDaniels and Randy McMichaels, but there is some insight popping up, probably because he also does Gator games so it's not just three or four Dolphin exhibitions and nothing else every year.

Griese doesn't seem well prepared. He relies on a base knowledge of the team more than anything astute or current. Probably he's more intent on studying the college teams for his job at ABC.

The Pitt announcers were horrible. I had to hear about Wes Walker all the first half.
