...and don't let anybody tell you any different.
It was a typical division game, a typical battle between bitter rivals. Nobody played great, very few outstanding players, unsportsmanlike penalties, players exchanging words. It was a game in which a mistake could have turned the game very easily.
Just a few weeks ago we would have lost a game like this. But despite the flaws today it was a game in which every player gave the very last energy reserve. And that is what fans in the stadium appreciated the most.
Just about a month ago when we won against Cleveland we left the stadium more relieved than happy. I think I posted back then that it felt more like a loss. But that has changed. Every thing around the Dolphins down here has changed. Talk radio talked about the Dolphins throughout the last two weeks more than they have done in the last couple of years - and more positive. The renewed hope showed in the attendance today. I would estimate that we were about 6000 under capacity and Jets fans were surprisingly few around. And I think the biggest compliment we can get is summarized in one simple text message I received during the game (from someone who was watching at home on TV):
"The stadium seems hideously loud"
The last three wins were very satisfying and pleasing and not against cup cakes. Now it is time to take the show on the road. One game at a time. Make us believers again.
