If this video listed as "every Tannehill throw" is accurate, the score was already 21-0 by the time that Tannehill attempted his fourth pass.

That's insane. Goes to show how anemic our running game was. Just couldn't pick up a first down early on and the defense was impotent vs Jimmy G.

The D gave up on the first snap and people blame the loss on the qb  if the pats stayed healthy they would have scored 50+ points - and that was without Brady and Gronk

Tannehill is not a bad QB, he isnt a good one either. after this year he will be a very solid backup somewhere.

Would have been more if Gase didn't accept that first defensive penalty on the Pats. I'm sure Belichick was chuckling at that one.

Technically, it was his third pass (the first to Stills didn't count because of a penalty accepted by the Dolphins). And one of them was dropped.....

If Tannehill leaves Miami he will end up being a Fitzpatrick type QB down the road. He will go in between backup and starting gigs until putting together a successful late-career run as starter. Rich Gannon had a similar career path with a late-career resurgence with the Raiders after several journeyman years.

Game log is here:

You can see how the D crapped the bed in the first quarter and it changed the game. Yes, we still would have had a chance without any one of our turnovers, or the D stopping the last TD, or the D giving the O more time at the end, but the first 3 TDs on 3 drives from the Pats really put us in a hole.

This seems just about right to me.

Maybe if he completed some of those passes to start and extended the drive he would have been able to make more pass attempts, kind of like Jimmy g did. Then our defense wouldn't have been on the field so often to let us down.

I still thinkTannehill should be able to accumulate 10 first downs with his 2 passes.

He should just throw them both for scores. WTF is he doing? Just throw touchdown passes on every throw.

LOL at the defense being on the field too long. Maybe they should have made a play. Did they get tired in the warm ups?

As another poster noted, it was actually his third pass because his first completion to Stills was wiped out when Dolphins accepted a penalty. So he was 0-2 on passes (one of which was a deep ball where there appeared to be micommunication with Stills) when the score was already 21-0. That's tough to pin on a QB. An 0-2 start shouldn't mean a three-score swing.

That being said, this offense needs to figure out how to move the chains early on. This running game is a problem. In 2 games, they seem incapable of picking up short yardage when they need it.

Exactly. We can't realistically expect them to be fresh all the way through the 1st quarter. :bobdole:
