Summary:

1) Juventus, Lazio, Fiorentina demoted to 2nd division.

2) AC Milan stays in Serie A but loses 15 points and kicked out of Champions League.

3) Juventus stripped of their last 2 titles and had 30 points deducted (Lazio 7 points penalty and Fiorentina 12 points penalty).

4) Juventus, AC Milan and Fiorentina out of the Champions League and Lazio thrown out of the Uefa Cup.

5) Inter, Roma, Chievo and Palermo, who finished third, fifth and seventh and eighth are all expected to be the teams taking part in next season's Champions League.

6) Former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi suspended from all football for five years and Adriano Galliani, who was AC Milan vice-president, suspended for one year.

This is crazy.

Go ahead and demote all you want but why the point penalty.

I think Juv. would have done better going to "C"

With the 30 point penalty their is a good chance that next year they are in "B" then the year after that in "C"

:yeahthat:

It's crazy. The points stripping screws them because now they could fall into C and it could take a year longer to get back than if they just started in C.

Pretty crazy stuff. R.I.P. Juventus.

If they were involved in fixing games, no penalty is too stiff. I would assume that as a result, most of their players are going to be declared free agents.
