Updating a previous report, <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/9">ESPN.com's Chris Mortensen reports the Dallas Cowboys have hired Jason Garrett as their offensive coordinator. Garrett had been serving as the Miami Dolphins quarterbacks coach. As previously reported, Garrett still remains a candidate for the club's vacant head coaching position.

I bet we won't have any coach with that title of OC. I think Zampese will be hired as something like "Offensive Assistant/Quarterbacks Coach". I think Mularkey will be demoted to Tight Ends coach.

He's the #1 guy I want. The option of bringing him in is was the only reason I wasn't scared of Garrett leaving.

Whats goin on with the Bengals OC? I heard we were interested last week and now I havent heard anything in a few days. If we hired him, our offense would be SICK! With cameron and (bengals OC) here. Could you imagine how good our scheming and play calling would be...WOW!

You know he basically spent his entire career in Dallas right? I mean it was pretty obvious as soon as dallas came calling, he was gonna go. its his dream job...

was he under contract still with us.. I'm guessing he was if we had to give permission for other teams to speak with him. and if so, do we get any compensation pics for him?

We gave him permission to talk to Dallas and we will not recieve any compensation because he was our QB's coach and now he is becoming an OC! This is what I have heard and I am lead to believe I am not exactly a hundred percent sure so if someone can verify this it would be greatly appreciated!
