You can not judge a draft class until their 3rd year in the NFL is complete.

It is finally official that the 03 draft calss was on of the worst in Miami's history.

Here is our class from that year by pick

1-No Pick

2-Eddie Moore OLB Tennessee

3a-Wade Smith T Memphis

3b-Taylor Whitley G Texas A&M

4-No pick

5a-Donald Lee TE Mississippi State

5b-J.R. Tolver WR San Diego State

6a-Corey Jenkins OLB South Carolina

6b-Tim Provost T San Jose State

6c-Yeremiah Bell SS Eastern Kentucky

7-Davern Williams DT Troy State

out of the 9 picks we have that year only 1 (Bell) has made an impact on the team. 3 (Bell,Smith,Moore) are still on the team, and Moore is more than likely gone after the season (smith might be cut in the pre season depending on the draft/FA)

I'm glad that Wanny/Spielman are no longer in charge of our drafts

The first pick was for Ricky...correct? And the 4th?

It was a disastrous draft.Even the most ardent Wanny and Speilmans apologists have to admit that.

I hated it when it went down and now I shudder at how bad it was.

BTW Bell has turned out to be quite a find but even a blind dog finds a bone.

gotta tell yourself that it was the Ricky Bell draft.....

but imagine Nick with all those picks....hmmmmm

Geez, that is a bad draft. This year's draft payed more dividends than all of those combined.

The draft might have been bad, but i'm liking Y. Bell right now..............

Just if I, a random fan who was trying to make picks before each Dolphin pick was made five minutes ahead, had done that draft we'd have

2- Mike Doss
3- Chris Simms
3- Shaun McDonald

Not too bad...

AND THERE IS NO HINDSIGHT WHATSOEVER IN THOSE PICKS

Bell has turned out to be good considering he's a 6th rounder but lets not go calling him a steal or anything yet until he starts and plays well as a starter.

Wade Smith probably still has a future with this team. If we can't get ourselves a quality guard in free agency which would allow Hadnot to move to center, then Wade Smith could be our new center next year. He was a horrible LT but I still think he'll end up a backup guard or center or something, and probably a decent backup at that. The rest of the picks were rubbish...100% rubbish.

yeah i was calling this a miserable draft the day after. what a horrific waste of time that was

I know it's an entirely different thread, but THAT is what I'm talking about, give the damn thing some time.

Oh yeah, I'd say just about every WannSpiel draft S-U-C-K-E-D!!!

Well sure looking back today I would do that, but I'm sayin right then and there no hindsight.
