then after a below average game everyone hates him and calls him a bust, thats how its been all year... he has always been good imo even if he gets 30 yrds rushing... we missed him dearly when he was out with the broken left hand... GO PHINS :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins:

Why did you make a new post rather than replying? hmmm

However, I do agree that you missed him heavily. Morris could not run the ball throughout the games. 1 big run to boost his stats in a couple games does not mean he was effective in those games. Also, teams fear Ronnie brown much more than Sammy Morris, to whom they will not gameplan for. I also agree with the fact that people seem to sya hes a bust after a bad game, but now people are calling him a bust after good games too, which doesn't make sense.

Jury is still out on him, IMO. Talk about terms like "Catalyst" and "Superstar"
once he breaks 1K yards. Don't try the oline argument. Sanders did it and his line blew. Superstars perform like it.

That said, I'm on Ronnies side and, feel the right choice was made with him.

Jury is still out, but, I have to say I'm disappointed.

Same with Chambers, but, I think we've seen the best he's got.

I've never doubted Brown's ability or felt that RB was a position that needs an upgrade. In fact to the contrary. However, Ronnie is a larger back and could use a backup. I think a solid backup would help Ronnie play better. Obviously a better O-Line would help both the run and pass.

I have always liked him. He fights to get every last inch. He falls forward 95% of the time. I think he tries too hard sometimes and dances in the backfield, but that may have something to do with a lack of confidence in the OL. IMO I think he needs hit the line hard everytime and trust the hole will be there.

I don't think you can call an offensive line with seven time Pro Bowl OT Lomas Brown one that blows.

Thats a weak point about Sanders. Name one of his lineman without looking them up. You can't, and don't say "exactly!" because you probably couldn't name that many offensive lineman because they are not "star players" or "big names" in this league unfortunatly. I am glad you felt the right choice was made. The O-line argument is clear in this = they have been better lately, Browns one game back has been 100 yards and will probably have 1k this year, morris' couple big runs were with huge holes that Ronnie Brown didn't have.

Yes, the jury is still out.

Thank you. As I said, offensive lines are judged by productivity, and they were very productive, uncluding Pro Bowlers. Sure a lot of that was Sanders making plays but, that line was better than Miami's is now for sure. Don't assume random things when you make points.

Yeah, but to trust the line, he'd have to have a better one I would think. Morris got a couple of big holes that Brown didn't get. That won't put trust in Brown. If the line played with any resemblence of consistancy, he'd be able to hit the holes faster.

Heh....One of my soldiers tried that once, and, I named every starter that season on Carolina's line..(He was a Niners fan and owed me an LOAD of pushups after the Carolina/Niners game.)

Yes, the line is better. It is following the pattern of last year, which, is getting better as the team gets less relevant to the playoffs. That's not a good trend. That said, Sanders was a back suited to the Run and Shoot/Draw oriented offense. RB is a young and fresh raw talent that is not confident hitting holes because he so rarely has them.

I don't feel there is any excuse for a starting NFL RB of any quality to gain 1K rushing yards, though.

I will say, as I have always said.....; Jury is out.

Please.

Don't even.

That was an awful O-Line.

If that O-Line was so awful, how come they had one of the best passing offenses in football. It's one thing to say Barry got all those yards on his own but that wouldn't account for the outstanding passing game they had.

I've always said RB was a very good back. He's better than Mulroney. Mulroney gets hit in the backfield and goes nowhere. RB has turned 3 yard losses into 1 or 2 yard gains regularly this season.

Here's some homework...

1-Was Lomas even on the Lions when Barry had his best year?

2-What was the offense the Lions ran then?
