I'm not a Dolphins fan. I made this account when Will Muschamp left Miami to go to Auburn so I could here yall's opinions on it. I remembered I had this account, so I decided to ask about Ronnie. I know yall aren't having a great season, sorry about that. I wish I could offer you guys some comfort, but I honestly haven't seen much of the Dolphins. The only time I remember watching the Dolphins is the last few minutes of the Jets game. Is Ronnie at least playing respectably? I wish yall well with your season.

Ronnie is just fine . . . he is getting some criticizm . . . . but its more frustration than anything else. Ronnie is a guy that needs atleast 25 touches a game, he is a playmaker man. Everybody says we need to get Chambers the ball . . . please, Ronnie is our best skill athlete . . . PERIOD. Its discouraging when his OLIne in front of him doesn't give him much to work with . . . people tend to think he is a scat back and can just jump on a dime and switch directions for all these yards or something, nah man . . . Ronnie is a bruiser w/ speed. He can get you outside yardage, but if he has no room inside to power over people, than he is gonna be ineffective. He also is a tremendous pass catcher and can block with the best of them. He maybe wont be a HOF player for us, but he can be a top 5 or 10 back for his whole career with the tools he possesses . . . he needs help tho, and this line isn't doing him any favors at all.

Thank you for the good wishes. In my opinion, Ronnie Brown is one tough SOB. He can really move a pile and catch the ball out of the backfield but I have been very dissapointed with his vision and lack of speed in the open field. I think with a good offensive line Ronnie Brown can be a 1,000 yd rusher year in and year out but I definetly do not see a hall of famer. Not yet anyways.

He is doing ok 7 games and has rushed for about 400 yards correct me if Im wrong...Nothing to jump up and down for .He will make a perfect backup but has not shown he is a starting caliber Rb.

Title.

I just ran some statistics. If Ronnie does the exact same thing he's been doing, he's headed for a 1,060.5 yard season. Of course, you guys know more about how he's doing than I do. I just threw that out there.

couldnt disagree with you more. hes clearly shown the perfect skills to be a perfect starting RB. his vision isnt great, but there are plenty of good RBs in this league that have worse vision and better stats. the play calling and OLine is not helping him out what so ever. i have confidence he will be a 1500 yard back very soon.

ur guys need to understand that ronnie is a fast as anyone when someone is chasing him or he is turing the corner...when he is being chased from behind he always looks back and doesnt run a full sppeed. i kno that this sounds like i'm his agent but i can tell that ronnie can burn anyone if he learned the right waqy to run in the open field.

Put it like this, if Ronnie ever gets a line that can open up holes for him . . . he is gonna be a deadly back, because when he breaks it outside and people realize the speed and only think he is a bruiser back, he is gonna shine. I really hope we see Ronnie at his best soon.

I could not agree with your assesment anymore. You put it right on the nose. I have yet to see a play where ronnie has failed to get to the corner when givin the opportunity. Even when dbs have angles on him. However, for what ever reason he seems to slow down in the open field. To me he seems very explosive form 5-20 yards and then sort of runs out of gas after that range. He definitely is not close to being a problem on this team and givin a decent o-line will develop imo into a top 3 back. Hey, hes the only thing i can now look foward to on sundays as a dolphins fan.

if we had a OL to get him to the second level once in a while, it would be fantastic

he's not the LT type of guy who can overcome missed blocks

the question is basically this:

was the #2 pick in the draft worth a slightly faster Brandon Jacobs?

I don't think so.

Ronnie is good, he will be an asset to our team for years to come hopefully, but he was not worth the second overall pick, and that has hurt us

Who would you rather have then? Benson or Cadillac?

People gotta understand that Ronnie was the best back out there, and we needed RB BADLY. I mean where else could we have gone? It was either one of the 3 RB's, Aaron Rodgers or Edwards . . . everything would have been considered REACHING. Trust me, Nick was trying to trade down, easier said than done.

Ronnie was the best pick for us, in that draft, at that time.

just because we can't use his talents doesn't mean he is a faster Jacobs

we should be isolating him on a LB and throwing deep, but he needs to stay in and block

he is big, strong, fast with great hands

a real OC with a real OL would be using ronnie like a blunt instrument

I disagree as well. He has shown the ability to be a starting RB in this league. He doesnt get the ball enough to allow him a chance to prove it.

I've seen other posts by finserg and he is on the official "Ronnie hater" bandwagon. You pretty much have to take that with a grain of salt.
