..that the way this team is playing we are in serious consideration for a top 5 pick. And not that anything is wrong with that. I would be pissed off if somehow we won a few meaningless games in the final few weeks and missed out on Joe Thomas, the big LT from Wisconsin.

From scanning over the posts, I think most people now agree with me that this season is over (welcome to the party guys, its not so bad). I just hope that Saban realizes it and plays the young players.

I've been looking over the draft sites and this is a very deep draft this year. If we pick top five, we should be able to get a very good LT and LB in the first two rounds and some interesting QBs could be there in the third. But Saban has to realize that going 6-10 or 7-9 doesn't help him, unless its with the young guns.

I guess there is no way to disagree, even for the biggest opitimists on this board. I'm a realist and I say you're right. However, just for the sake of the overall attitude, I'd give them the next two weeks to see if they can pull off a couple of wins. If things remain as they are, then it's time to throw the young guys to the wolves and see how they do.

Don't worry, you won't be pissed. I'm starting to wonder if the Dolphins will even win ANY games the rest of the season.

I was starting to feel that way last season, but look what ended up happening. The season may be over from a "playoff" standpoint, but certainly not from a player development standpoint. I'm sure we'll end up winning some games somewhere, but certainly not playoff run type stuff.

I'd hate to admit it but unless Saban thinks we can turn around and win out we need to settle for the good draft picks and play our season like preseason games.

It sounds like your saying Saban should be smart about it and throw a few games for a better draft pick. Never is that going to happen with Saban. And it shouldn't. I never want a coach who thinks about the draft next season this season.

There shouldn't be a butt on the bench who doesn't want to win! But if this year is a wash then lets have some open competition with some young guys to see what they contribute.

I'm not saying throw the game or intentionally try to lose it...I'm saying if you win, win with young players at key positions. Then it means something.

reality check...we didnt beat the Titans...they just, lost...so really, we're .5-4
i'd say about 35% of the wins in the NFL are more of a result of the other team "losing." so we're 1-4.

I don't see Saban giving up on winning, ever. But I have for this year, now I want Jason Allen to start ASAP please. He needs to be ready for next season, play the kid coach!
