It's Official: Playoffs is in our own hands

thank god i have quality posters like this guy to lay out the facts for me

Sorry I overlooked the fact that cinci plays the ravens. I just find it hard to believe that we are in control of anything after watching this stuff for the last 20 years. I guess I'm just trying to convince myself it's not as easy as winning out.

Interesting scenario: Ravens win out, meaning the Patriots would have to beat the Bills to secure the AFC East.. However, if they lose, they wouldn't make the playoffs. Ideal Scenario would probably just be The ravens losing tomorrow, then beating the pats, setting up the outside shot that we could win the division with a bills loss in week 17. Long way to go.

Not to mention if we somehow manage to win the East, if the Bengals and Colts finish 10-6 or worse, we'd get a first round bye and the #2 seed. Completely far fetched but not out of the realm of possibility.

-Don't see Fins winning next week in Buffalo. Fins will finish 9-7. If balt wins out they take the Division. We need Cincy to lose 2 more games. If Balt loses only one the rest of the way. We are out
Conditions in Buffalo, will feel like 17F windy, snow and ice. Bad for our D playing one of the best rushing attacks in these conditions
They have the Vikings and Ravens at home and they are 6-0 at home so don't see that scenario unfortunately. We need the Ravens to tank. If we could have just held on in that first Bills game.

If fins win out, they get in because of bengals loss. And I can see fins winning next week. Sure bills are tough but fins have split with the bills the past few seasons. The bills beat fins earlier, so its the fins turn to return the favor. Plus miami just beat a better patriots team, so screw this talk about fins not beating bills. Of course this will be a challenge, but whatever. Fins can win in the cold and snow, they just beat the steelers who beat a previously 9-4 bengals team tonight. Fins beat those steelers who I feel are better than the bills are pittsburgh in cold, blustery, snowy conditions. Fins can definitely handle this, especially if they're playing like they have recently.

So understanding how the picture looks right now are you rooting for New England or Baltimore?

That game is at 4pm.

I think we wait and see what happens in our game at 1pm as well as the game tomorrow night.

Lets suppose the Ravens beat the Lions.

If we beat the Bills, then Im rooting for the Ravens to win and keep us alive in the divisional race because I do not fear losing at home to the Jests.

Should we lose to the Bills, then Im rooting for the Pats to beat the Ravens because we will already have been eliminated from winning the division and will need the Ravens to lose.

I would love to clinch a playoff spot next week if Balt loses their next 2 games.

If the lions beat the Ravens the Patriots clinch a playoff spot.

Yuck, hard to root for.

I'd rather root for defending champs to win next 2

Awesome optimism you have there

Just like it was bad for the team going into those conditions in Pittsburgh? :ponder: :ponder:

I might be a an unrealistic dreamer, but I am hoping for the Ravens to win next week, then the Bills (in a huge miracle) winning the following week, making the Patriots organization have to yet again send premature printed champion tees and caps to 3rd world countries.

Just providing some facts that I thing alot of people aren't even thinking about or even consider. We cannot stop the run, thats a fact. That is not stopping it will continue till this season is over. With an icy field and one of the best rushing attacks vs one of the worst rush Defense. Yeah, this game turns from optimist in normal conditions to a pessimist. Its easier to run forward for an Offense than it is to run backwards for a Defense

Didn't the fins have pats under 100 yards rushing today and the pats have some good runningbacks. One of the best rushing attacks? They are good, but dolphins have played some other good running teams and plus come one now, this is not some offensive juggernaut jeesh. Ok then miami clamps down and focuses on the run. Sure Ej manual can surprise and miami can get hurt with young qbs, but fins just beat a more balanced offense with Brady and crew even without Gronk. I know the bills will not be easy, but I don't see the bills as dangerous as you seem to make them. Pats are a better team than them, fins will be fine, as long as they don't shoot themselves in the foot like they did last time the fins played them

Conditions were great today. Ofcourse we can do that. And actually Pats threw way more than run after being down 17-10 and with the Fins scoring 17 unanswered. The game dictated that. If the Pats chose to run more Fins would not have kept them under 100. You think if this game was being played with horrible weather conditions like whats expected next week the Fins would have kept the Pats under 100 yards? Not a chance

Nah, fins probably would have. You don't think belichik, the master of attacking teams weakness wouldn't have ran it more if he felt they could do better with it? The fins will be fin, seriously. The dolphins played a more balanced offense in the patriots. If your worried abouta teams running game you stack the box. The bills don't have the balance of benefit like the patriouts where if teams stack the box against ground game Brady will burn them. Ej manuel might, but he's young and definitely not Brady or some top vetern qb. Then fins focus on stopping the run against and force Ej to beat them. See then fins can't do that against teams like Brady or other balanced teams. I'd be more worried about Bills if their offense was more balanced. I know bills will be tough but I'm not scared, and think fins can beat them. Just so you know cj spiller has been inconsistent too. They can run but this isn't the vikings ground game or we're not trying to stop marshawn lynch here and we're not playing the seahawks. This will can do it.
