The dreamers can stop watching the games blindfolding one eye while rubbing their stomach and praying to Joey shrines. The season is over. Hopefully we won't get a million posts saying how much this team sucks now after a month of blind optimism and praise for our Pro Bowl studded lineups. To quote Denny Green "They were who we thought they were".

Now maybe we can just enjoy the last month and root for us to do well and win a game or two rather than suffer through some impossible hope of making the playoffs where Joey would have fallen apart anyway. Time to trust in Saban and the staff to get us closer in the offseason.
 
The fate of this team lies in whether or not Daunte becomes what he once was. Joey is OK but he reminds me too much of Fiedler. He pretty much lost this one for us. You can't blame the running game (except in the red zone), the defense did good enough to win if there would have been some offensive scoring. They strip the ball to turn around a big Jax play and are rewarded with a 3 and out. Just sad.
 
Yeah. Bad part is the taste that it leaves in my mouth. By the time they brought themselves around we already had too many loses.
 
Ohhh well....on to next year......maybe we can make it tough on teams like the Patriots, and Jets. :rolleyes:
 
Its on to hoping for a good offseason. Hopefully Ricky will be back and be able to contribute like he did last year. Hopefully they will address the problems with the horrible secondary and offensive line. And hopefully Daunte will be at 100 percent and get back on track.
 
Well maybe they can at least salvage a respectable season. Maybe 8-8. Who knows?
 
Bottom line: Our offense is not scoring enough points for us to win...it makes it too hard on the defense to bail us out every week.
 
I guess I just have to hope for playoffs next year. The season is not over and hopefully they can put up a few more wins so we don't have a loosing season. I guess it is time to enjoy the holidays and hope we still beat the Jets on Christmas.

Totally agree. If Daunte can return to his pro-bowl form, or even close, then this team will be very competitive. It's very hard to win games with avergae Qb play. You can count on your defense to steal a few game here or there -as the Dolphins have done this year- but at some point you have to get strong Qb play. We really haven't had any games this year that were won because of the Qb. JH's best game was against a banged up and pathetic Lions D- and yes hed di play well- and he has "managed" some game s OK (just like Fiedler) but he's just not good enough to win games.

Silly post. JH contributed, but he wasn't the one leaving Matt Jones wide open time after time after time after time.
The defense was tired at the end, but they didn't make any plays in the 1st half. J-ville marched right down the field on them on 2 of their 1st 3 drives.
JH disappointed me today, so we can pray to God that DC recovers next season becaue we have basically played ourselves out of position for one of the top young QB's in the draft.
If DC can't come back then might as well dismantle this team and rebuild. Phins won't be serious contenders for another 3-4 yrs. if that is the case.

This team sucks now.
 
JH isnt the only guy on the team...I am not sayen hes the answer but he sure as heck wasnt the only problem we have.

Wrong.

Travis Daniels sucked.
Run D sucked, they were getting 5 yards a pop and 1 yard when they needed it for a first down. Went 90 yards down the field twice!!!!!! Twice mind you and you say the defense was not to blame? what game are you watching???

Oh and Mare missed another chip shot. Oh and Mcintosh was a turnstile! Aside from Joey trying to give CC his ego, Joey was not alone in wrecking the Jax game. Anyone with any kind of football knowledge would clearly see this.
 
Just one question, Did Dan Marino ever win us a Super Bowl? NO.

So is it not the entire team that makes this team? Yes.

So why do people insist that the QB positon is the sole reason for being a great team? I dont know, Peyton Manning hasnt even been to the dance let alone win one (just got beat by Tennesee). whoof.
