The dude has shelled out MILLIONS of dollars the past few years (i.e. 60 millions for Wallace, 114 million with 60 MILLION in gurantees for Suh) on players, and is financing the stadium renovations himself in an effort to build a winner in Miami. That's really all you can ask of an owner. Yes, he has made poor personnel decisions in terms of Front Office administration. Ireland? Philbin? Those are the onlyu bad ones I can think of. People that I know who work in his umbrella company say he is very much about loyalty, and giving people chances. He may not know much about football, and is too loyal for a results driven business like the NFL, but at least he attempts to do everything in his power to build something in Miami.

Ask yourself this: Would you rather him be like the owner for the Marlins?

I always say to people, Ross lets our football guys deal with the business, he just shells out the generous bucks. I think he's fine. I wouldn't want Jerry Jones or Dan Schneider for my owners. Two idiots who let their ego's get the best of them in the football world

Whoa he pays MILLIONS??? As opposed to the other team owners who pay thousands...? C'mon. The Harbaugh pursuit debacle, the Sparano debacle, the prolonged Ireland debacle, the gator day debacle, the extended run of mediocrity at best. We were his 2nd choice to the jets. There are plenty of reasons to dislike Ross.

He could of handled the Harbaugh/Sparano better but he went out to get his man. I want that drive instead of most owners sitting on their arses. Ok, his technique was off but he learned. Move on

Agreed, and there's still hope for Philbin to prove Ross right.

I agree. I think most of the people that do are jealous and hate on other peoples success because they made terrible decisions in their own lives. They just want to tear down the people who succeed. They are also ignorant of how to live life in a positive way. Most are just bitter negative haters.

my main issue with Ross is his affinity with Philbin. I understand he wants to maintain continuity, but I'm afraid we're destined for another .500 season behind Mr. Magoo.

OMG!

The guy has made millions and millions of dollars since owning the Dolphins much of it with fleecing true Dolphin fans with a **** product.

Year after year we are 8 and 8.

He kept Weekend at Bernie's as our head coach!

WE HAVE SUCKED!

This boney rich jackass has done nothing for our team! NOTHING!

NFL fans who fail to realize that the NFL is about winning the superbowl.

Being football stupid and taking years to figure it out does not wash with yours truly.

Quite frankly till he brings me a Lombardi trophy I think he's a ROYAL jackass! That's my opinion!

I cannot stand the guy!

Even if Philbin got fired Jim Harbaugh was not coming here, And all we would of done is hired some other unproven scrub I would rather have the scrub now and keep him rather then keep firing head coaches and hiring scrubs we hope is the next Don Shula.

Youre assuming the next "scrub" would have been nothing but worse than Philbin (at best, even). I disagree.

He's a multi-billionaire so I will never feel sorry for him. As long as he focuses on improving the team, and not doing stuff like making J-Lo, Serena Williams, Jimmy Buffet, etc., part owners, it's cool. Joe Robbie was all about the team and winning. That's what I want about Ross.
